Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[1] • Location:[7]

  • Free WiFi, cable, fridge/microwave.
  • Dirty, smelly, stained mattresses, overpriced, needs updates.

“Not a nice place to stay! Upon arrival I was told if I wanted 2 beds it was an extra $20 a night. Went to the room the door was peeling and damaged. Opened the door and it stunk! The bed was missing the comforter, the bed pillows were on the table. The rug had cigarette burns all over it. The mattresses were stained! The towel rack was on the floor in the bathroom. Toilet paper left on the counter. Shampoo bottles were used! Maybe refilled? The free continental breakfast the next day consisted of bran flakes in a plastic bin & orange juice, nothing more. No alarm clock and no free paper. Spend the money on something nicer!”

  • The distance the hotel was from the casino.
  • The service, the demeanor of the hotel staff.

“There was no iron or ironing board in the room and no one to bring it up I had to go get it myself along with toilet paper and other bathroom amenities. Upon checking out I was belittled for ringing a bell to return the room. The manager stated that a women who was folding laundry and didn't acknowledge me could have took the key. I responded to him that if that were true why didn't she does so instead of having me stand here. My stay at the flagship was not a pleasant one.”

  • Microwave and refrigerator in room the location.
  • Room was small.

“The location was good. The hotel was clean and well cared for. The male desk clerk at check in was great, the female clerk at check out didn't get out of her chair and just said "put the key in the basket". I felt as if I was bothering her.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[1] • Location:[7]

  • Each room had microwave and fridge.
  • Dirty/burnt linens, leaky faucet, no hot water, bathroom half painted, smelly, no hair dryers, no alarm clocks, unreasonable customer service.

“I would not recommend this motel, except if you are drunk coming back from a casino with an anxious young lass by your side (which there seemed to be a lot of there). The overall problem was with the rooms, but we also found customer service to be poor. In the morning one room had no hot water. Luckily with three rooms we rotated showers, but without additional rooms you would have gone dirty that day. No other room was offered and when asked to change rooms we were told no. The continental breakfast was not there one day and the next a few wet doughnuts showed up. With no hair dryer in the room, I went to the office to get one and there was no one there to help for at least an hour. And then there were the rooms. Here's a brief synopsis of what we encountered: dirty/burnt linens, leaky faucet, half-painted/half-spackled bathroom, a deliciously-mildew smell, no hair dryers, no clock radios. It goes on.”

“It was a bigger disappointment than expected. I knew it wasn't going to be the Taj Mahal but I at least expected it to be somewhat updated/clean. This place was awful.”

“They have a good location, they just need to upgrade decor, beds, pillows, carpet, and pay staff to clean the rooms.”

  • Facilities, staff.

“First glimpse was discouraging - ratty, run-down, dirty building. I walked in to see two people in the lobby complaining about the rotting smell in their room. Staff insisted on getting an additional $25 before they'd let me check in. Needing a place to stay, I said I'd want to see the room first, especially after the couple's complaints. They wouldn't let me see the room I was going to check into and the hotel manager started yelling at me for asking. It was incredible. There's a nice red roof inn nearby. I'd recommend that if you're trying to save money. If I could give this place a lower rating than awful I would.”

  • Clean and comfortable and convenient to I-95.
  • No pool and close to the road. A lot of highway noise.

“I would recommend this hotel to couples and singles. Not a place for kids. It was decent in price and clean and the front desk staff was friendly.”

  • The TV worked.
  • Everything else from the bed to the lumpy floor to the stained pillow cases and the pancake pillows.

“This place was for us by my daughter for us to stay at. Through no fault of herself, she didn't check the faucet in the tub which came off in my hand. The ice holder had grease or oil all over the inside, which I brought to the front desk and the attendant did not seem too pleased to have to change. The drain in the bathtub didn't close, so we had no choice, but to shower. The shampoo and the mouthwash bottles has already been opened and obviously refilled with only God knows what. The bed squeaked horribly at the bottom end of it. There were stains on the pillow case that were black. I was very disgusted with this room, as was my husband. The mattress gave us backaches as there was little support. The same attendant cleans the rooms using a Stop & Shop cart. All in all, we got very little sleep and were quite disgusted.”

“While this room was some what clean it was not what I expected, the photos in the room description were taken from 2 different rooms and then placed in the description, there was no clock radio as the ad said there would be, the room had recently had some work done inside but it was obvious more needed to be done, they charge a $10.00 deposit just to use the phone in the room but did not inform me of the when I checked in and to top it all off the drapes were torn and had holes in them and the bed was very uncomfortable.”

  • That my room had a nice size fridge w/freezer and a kitchen sink and cabinets to store food.
  • The in room coffeemaker was dirty and the coffee was not good.

“For a quiet, clean, mostly comfortable room with some decent extras, this was a fine place to stay. Check in was very quick and easy.”

  • Good price, located near mystic seaport.
  • Poor upkeep of building, only one pillow and one blanket in the room. Requested more pillows, received one - manager said they were all out.

“Hard to locate. So called "cont. Breakfast" consisted of watered down apple juice, orange juice, and cheap donuts. Room had several items that needed to be fixed (i.e. towel rack pulled from wall, plaster broken around door) room was clean, but queen bed sheet had been put on sideways and we had to remake the bed.”

  • Good water pressure.
  • Reservation person was rude and not helpful; Room was disgusting.

“The reservation person was rude and unhelpful. The room itself was dirty. There was no vanity under the sink. It was plywood. There was no closet. When we requested a portable crib to be available in the room, the reservation person refused and said it had to be done in person. When we tried to upgrade to a king sized bed or two double beds, we were given two different prices. The first person told us it would be an additional $25 and at check-in we were told an additional $15 so we kept our original reservation. When we requested two room keys we were told they had lost one of them and only one key was available with a $5 charge if it was lost, therefore we had to be available for each other at all times to get in and out of the room. There was no closet in the room. If you were in need of a hair dryer or ironing board it had to be requested; it was not already available in the room. The room itself was dark, old, and had not been updated probably since the hotel was built. In between two sections of the hotel was garbage and plywood piled up. This hotel was disgusting.”

  • I honestly can't think of anything!
  • Almost everything. It was really just awful.

“I was incredibly disappointed. However, this was just awful really. It was not the right thing to do. The air conditioner didn't even have a cover on it, was dirty, they offered coffee in the am with curdled milk. We had to use a cot because there were two of us. It was musty etc. Not a good experience at all.”
