“Great staff, very clean and in a great location. Will gladly stay again. It was so close to Mystic, and the casinos.”

“We felt somewhat awkward when we were checking in, the staff seemed taken aback that we recieved such a good discount. Other then that one instance, the staff was very friendly and helpful.Although they were clean, the sheets did not have that crisp feeling of well laundered sheets, that was a little dissappointing. The pillows were flat and hard, but overall, the room was well appointed. The only real complaint we had was being able to hear every footsep from above, and to hear a lot of noise from the rooms surrounding us. Not parting or extra loud noise, nor did we hear voices, but the bumping and banging of just drawers being closed or things being set down. This the first time in all my years of traveling that I was made so consiously aware of my neighboring rooms.I was very pleased with Priceline overall, and have already recommended using it to my friends.”

“Great location. Check your room carefully when you check in, 1st room was not nice at all,
it was in a separate building from the main hotel, there were flies all over the ceiling that started flying around when we walked in. Front desk was very nice about it and moved us to a room in the main hotel which was so much nicer, larger, and no bugs! Not the newest place, but it was good for the price. The bathtub drained a little slowly and the walls were thin - we could hear the people in the room above opening their closet sliding door and walking around. For the price, it was fine.”

“First appearance from external standpoint is good, but upon entering the most significant negative is unpleasant odor (not sure of its source and/or cause, but probably just age of carpet, paint, etc. which has been masked by cleaning chemicals). I'm a professional real estate broker who would consider this particular hotel a good candidate for rehab, remodeling, refurbishing, etc.”

“The beds were so uncomfortable, we actually checked out early, staying only one of the two nights. One half of my (full) bed was completely worn and the other half was rock hard. They need to invest in some decent beds. I have never experienced anything like this at any other hotel or motel. Also, the air conditioner was poorly placed, about 2 feet away from one of the beds, so the on-off noise from the AC unit kept me awake. The bathroom was extremely small. As far as cleanliness, it was decently clean. Everything about the place was extremely outdated. I would not recommend this hotel.”

“Arrival was quick and painless as well as check in. My room was not actually in the guts of the hotel. It was in what seemed to be a couple of houses on the property that were made into separate suites. It was clean, easy to find and close. The bed could have been a tad bit bigger and more comfy but it served its purpose. I would stay there again!”

“We had a wedding to attend in Groton and wanted to stay at a nice, clean hotel nearby. Upon arrival the receptionist told my husband we would be in a room with one double bed and that was all she had (not a queen or king bed nor a room with two double beds, any of which would be normal for the hotel industry in the US these days). I went back in and demanded a larger bed as our baby sleeps with us and a double bed was not sufficient. She came up with a king bed (that had a full kitchen in the room as well - don't know whether that's standard). The room was very dark, outdated, mixed furniture, and rather dank all around. The next morning we called to ask where the breakfast that was included with the room was served. I would pay more and stay elsewhere next time we have to stay in Groton.”

“The hotel staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. We went on the 4th of July weekend and even though it was busy it did not feel like it was crowded. It was in a good location as we went to Newport and Mohegan Sun. We would go back again but get a non smoking room!”

“The people at the front desk were helpful enough. The hotel room was small. The bed was hard and lumpy. The A/C unit in the room did not function well; it was difficult to control the temp. Room too hot, it got stuffy and our noses stuffed up. If we turned the temp down, it got too cold in the room. We figured that the A/C unit needed its filters changed. Also, no ventilation at all in the bathroom (made it difficult to deal with the odors after using the toilet). But with all this, we must say that the room was clean when we arrived and cleaned each day of our stay.”

“Staff was very good, accessible to route 95; coastal and beaches, casinos. Outside of the weather being non bleachable (hey this is New England - unpredictable). We found the overall experience was good. Nice restaurant nearby. The ground round -super market across Blvd and shopping nearby were assets.”

“Overall the stay was fine for a 2 star hotel. The title floor in the bathroom was crack and unleveled and the bottom wall tile was cracked bearing staying together. The biggest stink was the smell in the hotel. I've never experienced anything like that in any hotels/motels that I have stayed at.”

“My daughter and I had never stayed at a hotel alone together. My husband usually travels with us. However, the staff was very kind and friendly. This made our stay very relaxing! The restaurant was a bonus. My daughter had such a nice time that she requested that we take more trips together. Thank you for your wonderful service”

“Located just off of I-95. Across the street is a Walmart. Super friendly housekeepers and desk personnel. A fantastic hotel for business travelers. A business center with internet access and printer and fax in a dedicated suite upstairs. Free wireless and hardwire internet. On-site diner. Monday through Friday from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm was cocktail hour. Very nice hotel.”

“It was clean and comfortable. The amenities in-room were excellent for this level of hotel. The hotel staff could not have been more friendly, courteous, helpful or efficient. I would stay there again.”

“The smell of the air freshener was enough to give my wife an intense headache. We opened windows and the door to get some of the smell out, but even after doing this for an hour, it was not much of an improvement. We asked at the desk for an air filter or ionizer and was told that they were locked up for the night! That made no sense to us, and we had to go back and sleep with the windows open (backed up on a highway), and a shoe in the door to insure air flow. Thank God, there was a breeze, and the beds were comfortable.”

“Very convenient location right off the highway (but far enough that you don't hear the traffic) and a short distance away from the casinos and tourist attractions. I will definitely stay here again.”

“The hotel was nice. The staff was nice. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The food was delicious. We liked the room being two separate rooms. A bedroom and living room. We also liked that the room had a microwave and refrigerator.”
