• It was very conveniently located near I-90 and I-91.

“It was a perfectly reasonable, although unremarkable hotel. We were able to get a good deal there through Priceline even though it was Labor Day Weekend.”

• This hotel was immaculate and very attractive. The beds were comfortable. Great experience.

• The swimming pool was a nice size and water was warm.
• You could not open the windows and the room smelled old.

“The hotel may have been a 3 star at some point in its earlier life but those days are past. Everything about the hotel seemed old and starting to show the wear and tear and smell it too. I would not want to stay there again.”

• Staff was courteous.
• Decor was stale, jacuzzi had lots of peeling paint, parking lot was cracked and ugly.

“We were there for three days and the hotel was almost empty the whole time. It was just a sad, bland old Holiday Inn. The staff was pleasant although once in the hallway I watched a staffer argue with a manager that she had to shut down a certain room, she said no, he said all the furniture had to be taken out because the carpet was horrible. Not the kind of conversation that should happen in front of guests.”

• Location; rooms were fine.
• Guest services manager - cold and indifferent.

“Non-smoking rooms are next door to, or across the hall from smoking rooms - the hallways reek on the 4th floor. Fluffy towels - but almost no hot water pressure. Took 5 minutes for the water to even get hot; then 35 minutes to fill the tub. Evening front desk staff very friendly - daytime guest services manager should find a different career. She can't even fake friendly.”

• Shortage of non-smoking rooms almost required me to take same.
• Allows smoking in some rooms. Coffee-maker was in the bathroom.

“I arrived around 7p.m, almost didn't get a non-smoking room but the desk clerk found one, think she gave me a 2-bed room (which I didn't require)in order to meet my non-smoking room preference. The motel appeared to be nearly filled, there were a lot of kids running loose in the halls carrying on but it quieted down by bedtime. Overall it wasn't bad and was clean and I would stay there again.”

• Convenient location.
• Heating system in room was very bad.

“This hotel had been updated but our room lacked the amenities that we had hoped.
The room was older and the heat had not been turned on in quite some time. We would not recommend to anyone.”

• It was renovated since we stayed there last year and the cleanliness was much appreciated.

“This newly renovated Holiday Inn was clean and very comfortable. My husband and I loved it and will book it again. It is also a skip away from Barnes & Noble and the Holyoke Mall.”

“This is not a 3 star hotel, maybe a 2 1/2. Good location to Mass Turnpike and I-91. Restaurants nearby. Rooms a bit small compared to other 2 1/2 star hotels I've stayed at.”

• I like the hotel location.
• Smoking room. Overall dirty.

“Smoking rooms smell disgusting. Actually the entire floor smelled like old stale smoke. Hotel is rather shabby overall. The pool is a bit greenish, very hot, and poorly ventilated. Beware of lung damage due to excessive chlorine in the air. Bed was comfortable enough. Bathroom was rather nice considering everything else. Good location right next to a large mall.”
