• Friendly and helpful staff.
• It was not in a good part of town. We had to drive out of town to find dining and shopping.

“The town of Bristol left much to be desired. We did not feel safe enough to walk about, even though the police station was next door. The closed restaurant attached to the hotel also gave the hotel a "run down" kin of feeling. I wish we had spent a little more money and stayed closer to more populated areas.”

• Convenient, clean, friendly. The rooms were well designed and large.
• There was nothing that I didn't like.

“From first check in, the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in the price (not just coffee, juice and rolls, but hot waffles, fruit, yogurt and bagels). I was very impressed with the room and service provided. Under question you should also include business traveller and not solo as I didn't travel alone, but with my husband who is my business partner.”

• Room was filthy, carpets turned my socks black.

“Very unclean hotel, the toilet clogged no one to fix, sheets and carpet dirty. Will never stay again.”

• They seem to do a lot right.
• No pool. Not a great walking area (at night).

“This is just about the only hotel in New Britain. La Quinta remodeled the entire facility and did a terrific job. It's safe, since it's right next to the police station, not that you get a lot of sirens, you don't. If you're looking for an inexpensive alternative to the Hartford Hotels, this is it. A quick drive to Hartford and convenient on / off with highway 72 and 9. With everything it offers and at this price, you can't go wrong.”

• Awesome bed - very comfortable.
• I believe they gave me a room near the ice machine.

“Overall - good to very good. I'd expect free Internet access from a hotel of these qualities.”

• I found it convenient and priced right.
• The breakfast had no fresh fruit and the waffle maker was broken a coupon/discount for the restaurant would be nice.

“I found the overall experience to be very nice. Easy check-in with a friendly, knowledgeable staff that seemed to be genuinely concerned to my needs.”

• Hotel was under reconstruction.

“Elevator was scary sounding; it terrified my two year old. Room smelled like cigarette smoke. There was hair in the bathroom sink. The window had a sheer curtain and the street light was directly across from it, so the room was fully lit all night. Hotel was under reconstruction, if we knew that we would not have stayed there. Hotel is in the worst part of town according to local 15 year residents. On a positive note the continental breakfast was great.”

• It seemed brand new. Ed was excellent and a good restaurant was a few steps away (famous Daves).
• The fire alarm went off at 3am and stayed on for a half hour. There was no fire.

“Very clean. Efficient staff. Easy to find off the highway (RT 9). Clean bathroom and good shower. Very good breakfast buffet fruit, yogurt waffles, eggs etc.”

• Excellent comp breakfast every Morning.
• Mice.

“Every thing was good about this hotel except for the mice or voles. Had to move our room. Also window treatment in the room was a gauze type see through thing. I could not close heavy drapes and staff could not address my concerns about privacy.”
