• Very friendly and helpful staff.
• Microwave and refrigerator were not in every room, and should be.

“A comfortable, convenient place to stay when visiting Yale University, only about 15 minutes away from the campus. Excellent staff.”

• Room was clean, location was safe.
• Fixtures were somewhat worn and in need of minor repairs.

“Room was to be nonsmoking room. We were placed in a smoking room. Front desk wasn't really pleasant about the change in rooms. They relocated us to a non-smoking room.”

• Conveniently located on a highway.
• Slight odor, dirty carpets, front desk did not explain paperwork; keys to room did not work!

“I would not stay at this hotel again when I visit my child ata local college. It was pricey for its appearance. Keys to the room did not work. Outside door not secure. Dirty old carpets in the hallway. Room had an unpleasant odor. Front desk staff not informative.”

“It was OK. Definitely not anything special. Could have benefited from an elevator. Free internet access was a plus but it was slow and I would have preferred a wireless option. On demand didn't work.”

“I was initially pleased when I arrived at this hotel. The room seemed nicer than the last hotel and they honored my priority club rewards with the free/discounted breakfast. But then, I went to take a shower and found a layer of dirt along the top edge of the tub, on one side. Disgusted, I called the front desk person who told me that he would call me back when he had a room. 15 minutes later I had to call him back, went to the front desk, and received a new room key. I asked for a second floor room but he said "the first floor rooms are much better" especially this particular room. The room was actually in worse physical shape than the last room and of course the room above me was occupied. I would say the primary problem with this hotel is the inconsistent staff: some were nice others were complete slackers (e.g., unclean room, poor attitude). Oh and one other thing, they apparently let local residents use the pool and as a result it is not a comfortable pool to use for a business traveler. At this most, this should be a 2 star hotel, and definitely not a 3 star. Even without the staff issues, it just was not as nice as a 3 star should be.”

• The shower curtain had mold. Housekeeping said they would replace it but did not.

“My only problem with this hotel was I called about one of my room phones not working and about my shower curtain having mold all over it. The front desk clerk said it would be taken care of 1st thing in the morning. When I passed the housekeeper on my way out the next day, I also asked her to replace the shower curtain & she said she would. None of my problems were fixed when I arrived later that evening. I called the front desk and spoke with a different clerk about it and they gave me a coupon for a free breakfast for me and my wife and also credited me $50 for each of the 2 nights I stayed there. I was happy with the way it turned out.”

• The room was large and comfortable.
• The bathroom was for handicapped not easy to use.

“The biggest problem was the bathroom. The removable shower head was fine but the holder was broken and even though we asked for it to be repaired, it was not done. It was also very noisy.”

• Free internet, large indoor swimming pool and free parking.
• Two stories and no elevator and very likely no public transport except taxi from the hotel.

“Friendly staff with greeting, clean and good size room, and in room coffee maker. Surrounding area is country like, adjacent to the freeway and rail tracks. The hotel has an on site sports bar and restaurant and is about ten miles drive from Yale campus. Not much close by except one fast food chain restaurant just beyond its parking lot.”

• No elevator.

“I had a hip replacement a year ago but fortunately, doing well with it. Hotel does not have an elevator - something which everyone now takes for granted. This would have been a real problem 6 months ago.”

• They offer washing machines! After a week of traveling, a welcome sight!
• We were worried being near train tracks, but only heard trains during the day.

“Nice restaurant in the hotel, fitness center and pool. Great place to relax.”
