  • Comfy bed.
  • 20 dollar charge for self-parking.

“Friendly staff. Small but pleasant rooms.”

  • Very comfort bedding and high quality shampoo condition.

“The hotel staff is very friendly and professional trained. Room is not big and fancy but has a lot golden touches which make you feel comfortable.”

  • It was clean. One person at the front desk was friendly and helpful.
  • Ridiculously small rooms for the price.

“The rooms were beyond small, and I found the staff to be unaccommodating. The hotel did not have hot water for an entire morning and did nothing to accommodate myself or the people I was with. We were there for my sister's wedding and the entire bridal party had to take uncomfortably cold showers, including the bride. They ran out of the food they offer on their late night menu. The service staff for our private breakfast had poor attitudes and were unwilling to meet our requests-my table asked for soda. I couldn't believe this is a 4 star hotel. I've had better experiences at some motels.”

  • Clean, friendly staff, good gym, comfortable beds.
  • WiFi was not working.

“Everything was fine. The first room we were given had a smoky odor, but they quickly and cheerfully changed our room. The gym was good, bath/shower was pleasant, and bed was very comfortable. Only problem was that we signed up for Wifi and it wasn't working well -so slow it was useless. They were very apologetic.”

  • The close proximity to the city nightlife.
  • The self parking fee was a little much at $18.

“Great hotel. Great location easy to get in and out of.”

  • The bed was amazing, the view was beautiful.
  • Elevator broken at 8 am- no signs, waited 15 mins before stairs.

“The king bed room was like an oasis. Clean room, modernly decorated, will always stay there when visiting new haven.”

  • Right in the heart of New Haven.
  • Had to pay for parking.

“I loved the atmosphere, luxury sheets, tons of pillows. Walking distance to Yale, which we were there to see, as well as restaurants, bars, and a nice park/green.”

  • Location.
  • Hotel was old, and room was small.

“Rooms are small and hotel needs renovated, but the location is great.”

  • The beds were very comfortable.
  • Valet parking is a little pricey.

“The location was great, being close to the Yale campus, theaters, and good restaurants. Customer service was excellent.”

  • Bedroom & bathroom were clean, linens crisp, colors not garish.
  • The long wait for the elevator from the garage to the hotel upon our arrival.

“The hotel was nice, clean and the people were pleasant. On the down side, there was a fire in the hotel restaurant early Friday morning and we had to leave our rooms at 1:30 am and couldn't return until 4:00 am. Management did their best, under the circumstances, to offer water, blankets, coffee and tea to the displaced occupants but there weren't enough blankets to go around because management was barred from re-entering the hotel. I would stay at this hotel again even after the fire experience.”

  • The beds were heavenly.
  • The elevators were nauseating.

“The hotel was very comfortable but it cost 25 bucks to park though.”

  • Wonderful view from 20th floor restaurant and well located for Yale visits.
  • Nothing objectionable.

“Central New Haven location, easy stroll to restaurants and Yale campus. The hotel is much more welcoming inside than out and is excellent value.”

  • In the city where my daughter lives.
  • Small room, dreary, in need of renovations.

“Centrally located, certainly adequate. On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable, bathroom good sized, excellent shower. On the negative room is exceptionally small, wall paper and paint are dingy and peeling, ceilings low with large dusty vents.”

  • Staff was very friendly, although at times calling the front desk you didn't receive an answer you had to call operator, not good for a 4 star hotel.
  • Room was way too small could hardly walk around the room with 2 people.

“Really not a 4 star hotel for the price.”

  • Friendly, helpful staff. Great location. Close to restaurants.
  • The bathroom could have better lighting.

“We are so glad we chose the Omni. Comfortable clean room, I never felt I had to worry about what my kids were touching! We asked for a view and the view of New Haven was terrific. The view from the restaurant on the top floor is said to be the best in town. We do not have a lot of demands as travelers, but everything felt easy and low key there. All I would ask for is better lighting in the bathroom. If I would been putting on make up for an event or wedding I would have been annoyed. But overall, a real pleasure to stay and I hope to stay again.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • Nice view from the restaurant.
  • Too few elevators causing long, long waits and very crowded rides.

“This hotel was very nice if you are visiting sites within New Haven. Parking was available and it is within steps of many wonderful restaurants.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[8] • Location:[7]

  • Great location and everyone was really nice.
  • Small place, charge you for everything including a 10$ fee for WiFi. The breakfast was horrible.

“The worst part was that I paid $45 for the breakfast that gets delivered to the room in the morning and the food was really bad. We ended up throwing it out and going out to eat somewhere else instead.”

  • It's location to Yale.
  • We were told it was not safe to be outside of the hotel at night.

“We were concerned by the fact that we were told not to venture outside of the hotel at night. We ate at the Temple Grill, per the hotel's recommendation, and it was yummy!”
