• Excellent staffs, nice view from the room.
• Lots of noise from outside two in the morning during the weekend.

“Nice hotel in excellent location, kind staff only bad thing was noise from outside on weekends starting from 10pm to 3 am. Drunken students, police cars.”

• Excellent location convenient to Yale facilities.
• Worn around the edges, in need of an update.

“Although in an excellent location, this hotel is in need of an update, and should not be listed as a 4 star property. Rooms were small, furniture has seen better days out of date and damaged, and access to parking garage is comical or unacceptable if you are handicap or elderly.”

• Walls were not very soundproof.

“This hotel is in a great location. Convenient to all of downtown New Haven nd Yale. The decor and style is very nice and up to date. The only problem we encountered was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. We could hear things above us, below us, next to us. It was difficult to sleep well. Every time someone flushed a toilet we could hear the water running through the pipes.”

“It is nice hotel at nice location. However, it is hard to find not expensive but good restaurant for dinner around. It was not noisy. They have to change fruit in the lobby. Room is cozy and nice. AC worked fine. The only problem was the restroom in the room. Water was leaking on the floor. Overall, it was nice to stay there but not more than two nights.”

• The hotel had lovely decor and wonderful staff.
• The room was rather on the small side.

• The doorman was terrific and the location was excellent.
• The woman who worked at the front desk was not helpful. They had no maps of the area, no change, and they failed to put a call through.

“Laughable that it received 4 stars. I waited and waited for things, and the staff seemed putting off by having me stand around (though I was waiting for them!)”

• Lobby and common spaces are well kept and elegant.
• Arguably the most uncomfortable bed in the world, at any price point.

“I have stayed here many times. It is very well located. Dining is very good, not amazing, but consistent. Major detractor is the unbearably uncomfortable beds. Pure misery. I think the omni should take a cue from the Westin and focus on the quality and comfort of sleep surfaces! Everything else is fine, well kept in this elegant, if not getting a tad bit worn, hotel.”

• Rooms are smaller than I expected. Elevator noise and the noise of the shower from upstairs were bothering. Other than that hotel was great.

• The brunch was great.
• Bathroom didn't close, no bathtub, room service food mediocre.

“Ok hotel, probably great for new haven. Seems older. Food seems to be hit or miss. Overall, did not meet our expectations of a 4 star hotel which we had been excited about. No bathtub + bathroom door didn't close not fun!”

• I enjoyed the fresh fruit and juice in the hotel lobby.
• The wireless internet connection was extremely bad and ultimately useless.

“This is a comfortable, well situated hotel in Downtown New Haven. The rooms are comfortable, clean, with all the amenities. My only problem with the hotel was the wireless internet connection in the room. The signal was so low that I could only have access to the internet for 1 minute or so at a time. When I called to ask about this, they said they could send something to my room to increase the signal, of course at a charge.”

“The hotel was fine. Because of your hidden fees and the fact that the hotel did not give the service. In the end I did not save any money. I paid the same rate with your fees that I would have normally for this hotel.”

• There were a lot of toiletries in the bathroom.
• The thermostat did not work.

“I was really disappointed in this hotel. The room was on the smallish side and the toilet lid would not stay up by itself, since it was up against the vanity area. The hotel overall is beautiful, but the thermostat in my room did not work properly, and the maintenance man was not able to fix it, so he recommended opening a window. The hotel was booked solid, so I couldn't even get another room.”
