  • There is nothing to like about this hotel, it was a total fleabag. It was disgusting.
  • Only a negative star rating could adequately characterize this hotel.

“This hotel is following a trend I have seen in the New England region. A family or extended family buys a budget hotel from a known franchise, then runs it as a family business. They don't change the name, but they don't keep the standards. They close the pool, because pools are expensive. They also make standards take a nose dive. They are not well-cleaned or well maintained. Behind a door that said 'vending' was nothing but piled up garbage. This particular hotel is located on one of those exits that are one exit past. If three hotels go up on such a site, then its usually ok, but if they start closing, you find yourself in a very seedy area. That's what happened here. If ever there were a hotel for which the term fleabag was invented, it was for this one. I have seen better welfare motels, and I suspect the problem with this hotel was that it was bought by the current owners to be run as a welfare hotel, but the local municipality is doing something else now. The best advice anyone could give: run away!”

  • The access to all amenities and staff was friendly.
  • Nothing.

“I liked the cleanliness of the room and the friendly staff. The breakfast was well planed and stocked.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[7] • Location:[2]

  • Staff friendly.
  • TV remote didn't work. Very few stations on TV glad I was only there for one night.

“I had to bring my dog in and out of the main lobby up the stairs to my room. Luckily my dog is a show dog and very well groomed and behaves like a saint Bernard should.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[4] • Location:[6]

  • Good beds, good wireless access.
  • Older, more used up than I expected.

“This hotel was okay, because I did not expect to spend much time in the room. The location is pretty, but the facility is old. I'd still consider it a decent value, and I am not disappointed, overall.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[4] • Location:[4]

  • Convenience.
  • No wireless in room; breakfast area unwept and little attention to details that would make it more attractive.

“It was scary to drive up and see the parking lot empty and all the old signs, lack of outside attractiveness (needs painting, attention to curbside appeal. Do something with those horrible "conference center" signs!); we were sure we were in for trouble. And suspected the rooms would reflect the same lack of attention (and be the evidence for so many vacancies). However, the room was clean though the towels were in short supply and old (not a problem since the beds were in good shape and the location good for business at hand with the university). Too bad there was no wireless in the rooms. Having to go to the lobby was a great inconvenience, but at least it was there!”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[3] • Location:[3]

  • The room was clean, cozy and friendly.
  • We were disappointed that the pool was dirty, the sauna wasn't open, and the whirl pool was broken. Also, the workout room, nothing worked!

“If you are just there for 1 night, then it wouldn't be a bad place to stay. But, if your staying there like we did, I would of rather have stayed at the Marriott courtyard.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[9] • Location:[8]

  • Convenient to Yale and freeways.
  • Carpet old, door loose at lock, a/c marginal output, no ice bucket.

“This is a good value for its location. Adequate amenities.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[7] • Location:[10]

  • Conveniently located and reasonably priced.
  • The neighborhood leading up to the hotel was scary... and it was obvious that people lived in the hotel full time.

“The room was clean a quiet however it was very strange to see that many people lived in a good percentage of the hotel rooms full time. There were potted plants and BBQ grills in front of a surprising number of doors...”
