  • Location was the prime reason for choosing this hotel.
  • Room telephone was not connected.

“It was a place to stay and the location was convenient to New Haven & Hamden.”

  • When we needed a replacement iron, the staff was prompt in bringing us a brand new one.
  • The bed was uncomfortable and the curtains and couch were stained.

“This is the first time that I was not satisfied with the hotel. The mattress did not line up with the box spring, the curtains had water stains and the couch was definitely not clean. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone wanting more than a bed and a roof.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[5] • Location:[8]

  • The pool was clean and uncrowned. Continental breakfast was decent.
  • The external and internal appearance of the hotel badly needs refurbishing.

“It's time to replace the dated features. The main entrance front door looked like it was about to fall off, and the shower was Nasty, with a showerhead that struggled to deliver water.”

  • Location to my sons doctors office.
  • Was called by desk clerk and asked for 3 digit security code on back of my cc. Then told by mange. That fraudulent charges had been showing on other g.

“Someone working at this motel is stealing cc #'s and making fraudulent charges. And my receipt and my motel receipt amounts didn't match. I paid for my stay in advance through why was my cc authorized 3 times during stay, and amounts don't match? As for the hotel in general, it is very quiet. The indoor pool is not heated and is very cold!”

  • It was easy on/off from I-95--variety of food places next door.
  • Noise from the highway.

“Room was fine/plenty of cable stations to watch. Food places were across the street and next door. Was there for Dr. appointment in New Haven, easy on off of I-95. Would stay there again.”

  • Room was not clean. Linens were not clean.

“Nicer hotels such as the Spring Hill Suites, Hampton Inn and Courtyard were in the same class. This hotel is not at the same standard. It was a disappointment. The bed linens were dirty and the TV channels did not have a premium channel. Breakfast was adequate, but no hot food.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[6] • Location:[6]

  • The room was very well set up.
  • The hotel is old and not refurbished a little on the dingy side.

“This was unusual. The booking was for Graduation weekend at Yale which puts the Hotels in great demand and overpriced for that period. My wife reserved a room here for $225.00 per night as the best deal around. The hotel was only OK. Not your normal standard but not a normal weekend.”

Overall Rating: 3 Overall user rating
Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[7] • Location:[6]

  • Convenient location and price.
  • Too loud next to hwy, dated rooms, smelly.

“If you need quick access to New Haven and don't mind a rustic, 70s sort of experience, then this hotel is for you. A slight upgrade from Motel 6 with a limited continental breakfast with a lovely view of I95 with all the related sights and sounds.”
