• The free breakfast was a bonus. Most hotels offer only a continental breakfast; this was a full buffet.
• Not well maintained.

“We were four people with two adjoining rooms and arrived late hoping to settle down to separate pay-per-view movies. The remote in the first room was a mismatch to the TV and we couldn't operate the TV. We all moved to the second room where the reception was blurry so that TV was also inoperable. It took well over an hour for management to correct the problem although they did offer a free movie as compensation. Also, the lock on a bathroom door was broken. And the next morning the kitchen area of one room was invaded by ants. All in all, a very uncomfortable experience.”

“Excellent hotel -- first stay at a Holiday Inn Express, but it won't be my last. Bed was comfortable -- room was big -- breakfast was delicious. EXCELLENT.”

• Immaculately clean, most comfortable bed and quality bedding & towels.

“This was the best Holiday Inn Express. Room and bed were great. The bedding, towels and pillows were of superb quality. The desk clerk was most helpful and accommodating. I would definitely return on my next trip to the area. Kudos to the hotel manager.”

• Comfortable beds, pillowcases marked soft/firm.
• Room air conditioner was ineffective and noisy.

“Pro: Convenient, safe location. Room layout & furnishings very comfortable except for the malfunctioning room air conditioner. Breakfast included was good and more varied than expected. Staff very nice. Con: Unsupervised children were coming into the lobby from pool dripping wet, walking through the lobby & breakfast area. Saw some people skid on wet marble floor - dangerous slipping hazards! Hotel should put down non-slip mats in areas leading to/from the pool.”

• Got a suite instead of a room and the beds were excellent.
• The decor could have been a bit brighter and more cheery.

“Great hotel for the price. First time at a Holiday Inn Express. This was definitely not a step down from a regular Holiday Inn.”

• Price, for a beautiful comfortable room.
• Our room had a air conditioning system that sounded like a freight train.

“Beautiful room with a very comfortable pillow top bed with nice linens. Conveniently located to good restaurant and main roads but far enough from the roads not to hear the traffic. Would definitely stay there again.”

• Nothing. This hotel was terrible. The customer service was awful.
• Customer Service was awful. Hotel was not clean, rooms were not made up.

“I would never choose to stay at this hotel. The customer service was terrible. The room that I stayed in was a smoking room with cigarette burns on the furniture. The room was dirty, it did not have a bath mat. The front desk agreed to send an ionizer up to make the room smell better and it stopped working after an hour. I called the next day when I was at the office and asked if they had any non-smoking rooms available for the night and they said yes. When I explained that I was a guest at the hotel and could they please transfer me. They put me on hold for 5 minutes and came back and told me that they had made a mistake and there were no non-smoking rooms available. The customer service and cleanliness of this hotel are only a 2 star level.”

“Breakfast was inconsistent. Food plates empty. After eating alternate selections, the sausage came out. Cook does not keep up with the need.”

• Awesome rooms, nice health club, great location, the room really was awesome especially for the price.
• The overwhelming cigarette smell on smoking floors.

• Location was good the hotel was clean.
• The day staff was fine but the e night group was just the opposite. Overall the staff did not seem professional.

“It was fine but not up to the standards of hi express hotels. Perhaps it was a result of the change in ownership.”

• Outstanding breakfast, wonderful staff, soft beds, great towels.
• I would have liked more television choices.

“Free Internet access, great staff, comfy rooms with mini-fridge and microwave and the best "breakfast included" of any place I have stayed while traveling on business. In fact, I'm staying at a hotel now that is supposed to be three stars, but offers no free breakfast, no free parking and no free fridge - and no microwave at all.”
