• Excellent location and extremely friendly staff.
• All Good, nothing to complain.

“Stay in the hotel was good, initially I asked only for 3 days and later found this place more attractive and extended 3 more days to the stay. The staff there was specially very helpful and specially the Indian lady at the front desk she was very generous. I will recommend this hotel to any one who need to be in around NY/Stamford or wants to go study in Bridgeport. BTW, it solved 3 in 1 for me.”

• Staff was very friendly and it was nice and quiet.
• Not very well kept or very up to date.

“My stay was very nice because the staff was helpful and friendly. I do wish the rooms were a little cleaner, there were small hair pieces all over our bathroom and I spent a lot of time cleaning them up. Overall my stay was good and I would stay again.”

• Nothing really.
• Uncomfortable bed, chair broken, air conditioning didn't work, no ice machine, no amenities at all basically a boarding house for working people.

“It should be a one star, there is nothing to recommend it and there are many better hotels in the area. If I had to spend more time in the room I would be bummed out.”

• It has no amenities and nothing to recommend it. It should be a one star hotel.

“Bed uncomfortable, room not well set up, no extras at all. Not a fun place. I have asked to block this hotel from my selections, but it has not happened yet.”

• It was okay.
• Not a full service hotel.

“The room was okay, but on weekends, the office is not manned after 5pm on Saturday and the hours on Sunday are 12-5. This is totally unacceptable. We left something in our room after check out and could not get back in. There was no one in the office to help and the phone number they provided connected us with people who did not know what was going on. They also have no ice available or any other amenities. How is this hotel a 2 star? I would like some compensation for all my trouble and to never be booked here again. ”

“No offenses, but I think the front desk staff should change their attitude as bosses and be little friendly with people. I have often felt being treated as someone whom owed them some money. Or could be that they are underplayed. I don¿t know, but the management needs to fix it before you lose your customers!”

• Untidy, unkempt, in-service and unpleasant.

“My worst hotel experience in 15 years of traveling. It's untidy, unkempt, in-service and unpleasant. Most guests are working class types with corresponding behaviors and appearance. The walls are so thin that any noise in other rooms can be heard quit clear. There is traffic in the corridors all through the night, the zircon/heater is right next to the bed and goes on/off all through the night and sounds like a jet. People shower, watch TV and receive phone calls all through the night. The so called kitchen is a joke. I did not try to cook, but any think above boiling pasta and heating TV-dinners in the microwave is not possible. I checked out prematurely and moved to a real hotel. I will never come back.”

• Blankets were torn and along with the rug had burn holes.

“The decor was very pleasant. There is no maid service and we made our own bed. The price was great however. I am a smoker so having that available was great. The staff was very pleasant. We travel to see our children. We really enjoy being able to stay in a hotel thanks to your services. ”

• The hotel was really nice. It had all the comforts of home. It included a refrigerator, stove, and a microwave. I was really impressed!
• They had show time instead of HBO. That's all.

“I really had a wonderful stay at homestead. I hope I get that hotel every time I choose the Connecticut area. The staff was courteous and the surroundings really made you feel at home. I had a great time!”

• This would be a nice hotel for a few days stay with the kitchen.
• There is a charge for the Internet which is unusual these days.

“The hotel was clean and quiet. Their front desk is only open certain hours and check in was long. I was surprised about the Internet charge. It is usually included. No real complaints.”

“I'm a huge fan of Homestead. This was my first time at Shelton, I've been to Norwalk several times. All the facilities and even the hotel's layout were identical at both locations. A great place to stay for a budget hotel. Nice room that feels like home, wonderful kitchenette, very good selection of TV channels. Overall the Homesteads are far superior to comparably priced hotels.”
