• Excellent location near airport.
• Possible security issues.

“This is a nice option for anyone flying to Burlington, as it is very close to the airport. My main concern however is security. I had a camera stolen from my hotel room. The hotel staff was concerned and did everything they could to help me, but it's still troubling to have something taken from your locked room.”

• Spacious, clean, and quality.

“The staff was very friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance, the room was large and of very good quality. The location is also convenient in relation to the city-life.”

• Convenient Location.
• Poor quality towels, window barely on the tracks and difficult to open.

“The location is great, close to University of Vermont. The room was clean and pretty comfortable. We were satisfied.”

• Cleanliness and breakfast.
• Mattresses were very uncomfortable.

“Morning staff more helpful than evening staff. Rooms/Bathrooms/Common Areas clean. Breakfast very acceptable. Easy parking and access to Burlington Airport. Poor Mattresses.”

• Easy location, good breakfast.
• Foul odor in room, most staff seemed disengaged.

“We were excited to stay at Laquinta, because we love our local one, where we often get a room to take our kids for a night away to go swimming during the winter. Burlington was a different story. Our initial reaction upon entering the room was that we had been assigned a smoking room by mistake, due to the very strong odor that was present. We eventually tracked the smell to some kind of oil that was on one of the comforters. Sadly, the housekeeping staff smelled the odor, but their efforts ended at opening the window and hoping the room would air out by the time we got there. Luckily we only needed one bed, and we burned a scented candle to cover the smell. The Wi-Fi didn't work, and we were told that our room was too far down the hall to get a signal from the router, but we were offered a place to work in the lobby (which we declined since we were already in our pajamas). Our room overlooked a construction dumpster, there were no tissues in the dispenser and no bags in the trash bins. Would I pay to stay at this hotel again?”

• Excellent location for Downtown activities and easy highway access.
• The room decor left a lot to be desired. Peeling wall-paper and stained walls were not attractive!

“We stayed here four nights. The room was not the most attractive, but the free wireless internet, the great location and the free continental breakfast made up for the shortfall of the room.”

• It ended up being right across the street from the venue we were attending.
• The room was dirty - sink was dirty, pubic hair in the tub, sticky floor.

“The room was dirty, mainly the bathroom. The sink didn't drain properly and so much grunge was floating in it. And of course, a pubic hair in the tub and sticky bathroom floor (gross to think what was sticky). Nice fridge and microwave! Used the fitness room. TV was fine, and I liked the sun shade on the window. We had a late check-in and the maids knocked on the door twice and woke us up. Also, the alarm clock went off early both mornings, obviously set from the person before. That was really annoying. We thought we shut it off after the first morning fiasco but didn't. Overall, it was a nice experience though. We really enjoyed it. We would stay there again.”

• The front desk help was exceptionally phenomenal.
• Needs a fair amount of inside maintenance.

“When we got there and checked in to our room we noticed that it had two beds instead of one king or queen.”

• The night clerk was very friendly, upbeat and helpful.
• Weird bathroom flooring.

• Great free breakfast, waffle maker and lots of other choices, very impressed with it.
• Could have had an information book in room about guest services and local menus.

• Free waffles for breakfast!
• Beds were too soft.

“A good, cheap option close to amenities. They are seemingly in a transition to upgrade the hotel so the shower was clean and new, but the floor looked like it was from 1970. It all felt very clean, though, and I would stay there again.”

• Couldn't sleep-curtains didn't stop ambient light.

• Staff was polite.
• Filthy, smelled funny, tiny lobby, poor amenities.

“When I walked into this hotel I was appalled at the poor state of the lobby. They were doing construction which was fine, but the places where they weren't doing construction was dirty. I got my key and entered my room. The room was a decent size but it smelled poorly. The heater didn't work properly and I was skeptical as to the cleanliness of the bed. The walls were paper thin which is expected in a hotel. This hotel was 1 Star at best. Please be cautious in staying at this hotel.”

• Undergoing renovations-noisy in the AM.

“At the time of my stay this property was undergoing major renovations. My room appeared to be newly decorated and was very clean. The lobby, public areas, and various rooms were under construction therefore it was rather noisy in those areas in the AM hours. This property will be very nice when completed.”

• The staff was friendly and the breakfast was decent.
• It was under renovation and very dusty. Thin doors and walls and noisy at night.

“I wouldn't rate this hotel a 2.5 star in comparison to other hotels of the same rating I have stayed in elsewhere. Lots of noise at night and hotel and rooms under renovation. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.”
