  • Front desk staff was friendly.
  • Dirty, smelly, unsafe.

“I stayed at this establishment a few years ago and it was fine. I purposely booked there again because I had a good experience in the past. However, things have changed, new ownership apparently and the place has really gone downhill. The security was a joke with key cards required for some entrances while other doors were propped open with a trash can and anyone could enter at will. My room was smelly, smelled like mold. The bathroom was the worst with an unclean sink and a tub older than me. I had looked forward to the Green Mountain coffee, served in the past but that had changed, too. On my next trip you can bet I won't book here.”

  • We knew other people staying there.
  • Dirty, smoke smell in rooms, and poor linens.

“We had a 2 night stay. Honestly, it was a dump. The rooms are dirty, smelled like smoke, and haven't been updated in years! The room was a non-smoking room, but had a very musty stake smoke smell to it. Very bad for anybody with allergies. The faucet in the shower was pulled out of the wall, and the towels were old, thin and rough. Didn't see much staff around. The location is good but there were no signs to indicate that it was connected to The Comfort Inn. Very frustrating when arriving. We would not stay there again.”

  • The courtesy of the cleaning staff.
  • Sign on building does not say Comfort Inn, reads University Inn, confusing.

“I had difficulty finding the hotel as the sign on the building is misleading and the Comfort Inn sign is on the road, next to Friendlys. This caused me to be late for a meeting.”

  • Great location.
  • Needs more staff.

“The place would be a lot better if it was cleaner. The amount of days we stayed we never got our bathroom cleaned just new towels. Then I saw why they couldn't do everything in my room. I over heard an older woman telling the house keeper that all check outs have to be done before you do the stays. Man did I feel bad for her. I gave her a good tip because she was not happy whatsoever with that lady. I can't believe you allow your housekeepers to get treated that way. They are the ones that should be treated well. They work very hard for little money.”

  • Housekeepers are very friendly not like the manager.
  • Rooms need a lot of TLC.

“Well first of all, this place seemed to be a lot better a long time ago, I see that management has changed, Wendy which is the manager now. Has no clue in how to run a hotel yet treat the employees with respect, the housekeeping department is so under staff and are so overworked. I see them working so hard and ask how they can do so many rooms, but they just "say we have to, thats how we are treated here" they also told me that they are so well under paid. The standard pay for housekeeping in the united states it between $9.00 and $9:45 per hour. They get less then 8 and hour no wonder they don't care how the rooms look. But really they have no choice how the rooms look, they are forced to get the rooms done so fast and with that lady (I think I was told her name was betty) breathing down there backs; Wendy should be ashamed of herself for treating these housekeepers the way she does. She shouldn't be a manager at all.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[3] • Location:[5]

  • It was convenient to where we were going could have been very nice but was dirty.
  • The hot tub was dirty and had a film around it, things floating and the pool was cold. The fruit at breakfast was old and items left in the room did not belong.

“It was convenient to the highway and affordable but it should have been cleaner and spiffed up a bit. With some small changes it could be a very nice affordable place to stay in that area. We will be going back to the area but I am not sure after our experience if we would stay again due to the not clean of the place”
