• VERY clean. Comfortable beds.
• Nothing comes to mind. It's a fine, basic motel room with courteous service.

“A quiet, very clean basic motel room with all necessary services. An added benefit is a very nice restaurant right next door.”

• Pool + breakfast.
• Ants.

“The hotel itself was fine except for the ants. Yes, ants in December go figure. Otherwise I had some sort of gastro and my wife made me use the pool toilet which had lots of ants. My kids wouldn't sleep and my wife wanted to kill me. The service was indeed friendly and professional.”

• Good sized rooms, comfortable bed and a sofa bed!
• A little noisy just from people walking in room above.

“Holiday Inn express South Burlington is well located near the South Burlington/Shelburne town line and about 3 miles from downtown Burlington. While no restaurant, they do provide a free, limited continental breakfast. The beds are comfortable, looks like generally new fixtures, towels and linens throughout. Because of the hotel configuration there is little road noise.”

• Very clean.
• For a suite, there was only one bathroom.

“The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was fresh and hot. It was a very complete breakfast with many selections. I was very disappointed that in a suite there was only one bathroom. The second bedroom had to go through the main bedroom to get to the bathroom.”

• One of our worst hotel stays ever. We didn't like anything.
• No air conditioning. Filthy. Indifferent staff. Horrid layout, etc.

“This tired old hotel demanded top dollar but produced nothing to deserve it. There was no air conditioning, despite the 90+ degree weather. Room and halls, and lobby, were dirty, run down. Staff was indifferent. Room was a good five minute walk, and two elevator rides, from the front desk. Don't stay here if you can avoid it!”

• The staff were helpful and the hotel was very clean.
• Although it is a short drive to the center of Burlington, the hotel is located on a road that's over-developed with strip-malls and chain stores.

“The hotel is easy to find off of the highway and close to many attractions. It also has a pool and hot-tub, which is nice.”

• The room was spacious and the beds were incredibly comfortable and inviting.
• complimentary coffee was not readily available or cold.

“The Howard Johnson's in Burlington was great value for your money. Not only a great location, but the staff was always hospitable and helpful. Close to everything with ample free parking. A definite return visit is in order!”

• Clean room, convenient (in snowstorm) restaurant next door, close to magic hat.
• Heater did not work well (noisy and inconsistent).

“Suited our needs, close to micro brewery, main road into town and city bus transit. Breakfast buffet acceptable-toasters work slowly. Parking is convenient. Pool and exercise area were not used on this trip, but we found them (and whirlpool) acceptable on previous trips. Convenient, and reasonably priced, for visits to Burlington, VT.”
