• The receptionist was very friendly and quite helpful.
• The wireless internet was not working, which presented some challenges for me given the nature of my trip.

• It was convenient to family, and very clean.
• The carpet was a bit dewy when we first arrived, but with the air on, it was dry by morning.

“Although we didn't utilize all the facilities and services, this hotel and its staff was extremely accommodating.”

• It was very clean.
• For Ethan Allen, the rooms were very poorly decorated and not deserving of the high star rating.

“This hotel was average. My brother stayed in another hotel in Danbury with a lower star and that was much nicer. For being next to the Ethan Allen headquarters, one would think that the rooms would be decorated nicely. They were average to sub-par. They were very clean and the staff was friendly.”

• Nice pool, but small.
• Floor in room was wet, bathroom floor was sticky.

“The lobby and public areas of this hotel were very nice. Front desk staff was friendly & helpful. The room was average - I guess I expected more with the Ethan Allen name attached to the hotel. The carpet in our room was wet when we arrived and the floor in the bathroom was sticky. Furnishings were worn, I expected something a little nicer. The pool was nice - but very small. There were no easy entry stairs, just the ladders that went right in. The depth of the pool started at 4, so it was difficult for my 3 year old to get in & out. We ordered room service for breakfast. It took a long time for it to arrive and the food was below average. The waffles and French toast were tough to cut and tasted old. My hot tea tasted like coffee. All in all it was an ok stay, but I probably won't stay there again.”

• The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby was spacious and attractive.
• The exercise room's weight equipment was not adequate nor was the space large enough.

“I would definitely stay here again since the rooms are attractive and clean. The location is convenient and the hotel itself lends a uniqueness that you do not find in chain hotels.”

• They gave me a room on the first floor.
• I wish they had an indoor pool.

“This is the second time I stayed here and both experiences were excellent. I had move to another hotel in Ridgefield, CT because of a family event. It was 3x more money than the Ethan Allen. I would have much rather stayed at the Ethan Allen.”

• The relaxing extra room.
• The back exterior door squeaked very loudly when opened.

“We used it for business, so really only slept there. It was fantastic, clean and restful.”

• Just a few minutes from Danbury which we were visiting.
• Bad bar music.

“My husband and I felt our room was very pleasing to the eye. The lobby itself was pretty, but the lobby bar I would not attend on a night with a live band. We thought they were doing karaoke, only to find it was a lounge singer. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly.”

• The hotel was furnished with furniture that Ethan Allen sells, was interesting to be able to "use" their products before buying.
• The chairs in the bar were a little worn, should have used commercial fabric or leather in that application.

“I have driven by this hotel many times and was very curious. Was very happy with the room, it was quite large and beautifully furnished; we hated to leave so quickly, would have liked to shop in their store next door.”

• The staff was terrific everyone was helpful and friendly.
• No indoor pool, no fridge/microwave, and no kid friendly dinners.

• Lights not on in parking lots; unavailable via phone; staff lacking any knowledge; staff not service orientated; no internet connection; business cent.

“Great location and beautiful furnishings. Staffing lacks professionalism, knowledge of facilities in hotel and total lack of ability to service their clients. No one answers the phone, I called 4 times prior to my arrival to verify that I would have a non smoking room, no one answered the phone. Arriving at the hotel no one was staffing the desk. I was there for over five minutes until someone appeared to check me in. Internet was not working; business center lacks tools that most business people would consider common to a business center. Exercise room, equipment was not working and/or no one on staff knew how it worked or cared.”
