• It was conveniently located for us.
• No complaints.

“We just needed a decent place to stay before heading out on a backpacking trip in the Adirondacks. We were able to get a nice breakfast before heading out for a hard day of hiking. We appreciated the extra pillows!”

• Spacious, clean room, free WiFi, beautiful view

“King room was spacious and clean. Attractive outdoor pool area has a nice pool, wading pool with fountain, and several recreation areas for all ages. Hotel is located just outside of Lake George Village and is in a quiet area. View of lake is beautiful. Overall, a very clean, comfortable and attractive hotel.”

• Brevity of our stay.

“Hotel is in a great location. Easy walk to Village and beach. Very nice view of lake. Grounds are well landscaped. Indoor and outdoor pools and outdoor hot tub were very relaxing. Staff could not have been more helpful and courteous.”

• The staff was so hospitable.
• No remote to change the channels on the TV in the gym.

“Excellent amenities - indoor pool, outdoor pool, kiddies pool, miniature golf, basketball courts, big chess set, free food at the bar, provide water bottles in the room, big fridge, microwave, close to all that Lake George offers - had a hard time getting the family off the premises to do some sight seeing! The staff was so friendly and helpful. We'll be back!”

• Air conditioner very loud. Woke us up a lot.

• The room was very nice. We had been traveling. It had all the amenities we needed and wanted.
• It is a very clean, very nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and expedient.

“The room was great. It had a flat screen TV, refrigerator and microwave. It is in a great location and some rooms have great views. This is one of my favorite hotels in Lake George and I've stayed in several over the past 20 years.”

• Amenities were incredible! Property was well kept

“Physically the hotel was what I expected for the name. The food served in the dining room was EXCELLANT! The rooms were clean. This properties amenities were excellant. They include indoor & outdoor pools, wading pool for children, basketball court, putting green, outdoor chess game where you physically pick up the pieces to the game and move them, a whirlpool tub/jacuzzi and indoors a fitness center, video game area, pool table and shuffleboard area.”

• The location was ideal wish easy highway access and the view was beautiful!
• The auto check-out was not working and the hallway floors were not vacuumed.

• Manager showed us a suite when asked. View was great. Comfortable room.
• Some of the food on dinner buffet was cold.

“I really enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn in Lake George. Friendly service, clean and comfortable rooms, and food was good, just cold on the buffet.”

• The view was great! The location was even better it's close to everything.
• I didn't like the fact that my room didn't get cleaned one day of my stay and I had to ask for new towels.

• Convenient! Great food and fantastic rooms.
• Customer service. We had stayed there many times, but they never upgrade us to a balcony room.

“I recommend you stay in their balcony rooms. Great views of Lake. WE found that the air was not drying compared to other standard rooms. My 1st time at this hotel was fantastic, but this last time was good, but not that great. The restaurant in the hotel is poor on customer service. I had reservation, but had to wait for my table. The staff knew us from previous stay and you would think they would upgrade us, but that never happened.”

• I am a smoker and was grateful to get a smoking room.
• Arriving at hotel at night, it is not easy to find the entrance/reception area.

• Very comfortable for the price we paid. Rooms had an abundance of features, and nothing was missing.
• The food at the New Years Eve dinner was not good. Poorly cooked.

“Everything about the hotel was nice, except for the New Year Party food. The rooms were very comfortable, they were fixed up daily by the cleaning staff, they were impeccably clean, and everything smelled fresh. No complaints whatsoever with regard to the rooms, in fact we were all very satisfied. The staff was friendly, and the front desk clerk changed us from a smoking to a non-smoking room free of charge. Their complementary toiletries came in handy for those of us who forgot something. There was a problem with parking space on some nights, but it was not too bad. The food at the new year's eve party though left a lot to be desired. While the ambiance was awesome, and there was no lack of good music to dance to, the food was very poorly cooked. The prime rib was almost raw.”

“Stayed Christmas night. No restaurants opened, so the hotel provided free sandwiches and soup. The staff was wonderful. Loved the staff, excellent accommodations.”

“Location good, room was great, staff friendly, restaurant ok but only one waiter and room had quite a few people. Waiter was good but scrambling around because of number of people. We felt sorry for him.”

• It had a great view of lake George.
• It was under going renovation.

“The outdoor pool could have been a little warmer, they should remodel one section of the hotel at a time, the rooms were large and the beds were awesome! The bathrooms should have been a tiny bit nicer; the sink vanities needed to be up graded; the chipped plywood panel supporting the sink top was a little tacky. The restaurants were fine; the food was great; and the prices were excellent. Overall I would recommend this property to others.”

• Rooms that face the pool & lake have a nice view.
• The indoor pool area has foul, moldy, mildew like smell.

“Rooms that face the lake and pool have patios or balconies with a beautiful view. Rooms on the back side of the hotel have no balcony or patio, and the view is the parking lot. The indoor pool area has a terrible smell, and previous online reviews lead me to believe that this condition has existed for some time. The outdoor pool area is nice, if a little small. This hotel is about a 1/2 mile from the lake. On my next visit, will spend more money and stay on the lake.”

“Terrible experience! Hotel was very messy due to construction. Had to be moved from one room due to toxic fumes from roof construction. Pool was so dirty that I made sure kids took shower immediately after swimming. Should have been warned that major construction was going on - dirty, messy, and very loud!”
