• Location and cleanliness.
• Had to pay for parking.

“I contacted the hotel in advance to see about getting two double beds. In checking in, they were rude and didn’t treat me friendly. They indicated that parking in their lot was $10 per night. I have stayed at the Hilton in other cities and was exceptional.”

• The pool was great.
• $10 per day parking fee and no maid service to our room.

“This hotel is very nice, located in downtown Saratoga. It was very noisy, but the manager responded immediately to my complaint. I expected to get some credit to my bill since I received no maid service, but nothing was offered.”

• Location.
• Bad housekeeping.

“The room we stayed in wasn't cleaned properly; there was trash from the last guest. Also, on the day of checkout, a housekeeping person knocked on our door at about 8:30 am, waking me up, for no reason. The layout makes no sense, too.”

• Room was missing closet door.

• comfy beds/great location
• filthy......they better be going through renovations...its their only excuse

“Feast or famine in this place. The good stuff- Veryimpressive building and lobby/nice looking restaurant/maybe the most comfortable hotel bed I ever slept in/ great location in downtown and close to the track. Now the bads !!- Hallway wallpaper peeling,unpainted areas, dirty elevators and dirty hallway carpets left us with the impression that we must have been put into a wing under renovation. They couldnt leave it this dirty during race season with all the BMW's and Lexus'es parked in front and all the big wig race types there?? Could they??? Well we took a walk to the other wings and it looked a little better.....till you really looked. The glasses in our room were filthy/Bathtub had stains/ The pool area had painted over concrete like plaster peeling off the edge of the pool into the water/ Pool towels wouldnt even be big enough for the jockeys....more like hand towels/Old food stuck to the filthy deck area......even my five year old daughters quote was "yuuck". The light of day brought the discovery of broken glass and cigarette butts all over the parking lot. ”

• excellent location, very helpful staff
• We had to take a smoking room because we needed two double beds, and the smell was nauseating and horrendous. The room was not particularly clean.

“This hotel is in an excellent location within walking distance of all the stores and restaurants on Broadway. There is a decent Italian restaurant right across the street, which is convenient. The staff is very polite and very helpful, and there is a concierge to recommend places to eat, etc. She recommended Beverly's for breakfast, and we were all pleased. Housekeeping could do a MUCH better job cleaning the rooms. We stayed in a smoking room because we needed two double beds, and the room reeked of smoke and mold. We were nauseated by the odor. If housekeeping could be improved, this would be a fine hotel.”

“room was really cramped. we asked for a rollaway for our daughter and they wouldn't give us one because of fire code - we had an uncomfortable sleep because we were too crowded. The room was too small.”

• Our room was recently and very attractively redecorated. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, but the bathroom could have been cleaner.
• No complaints other than the issue of the bathroom.

“We were very satisfied with the room and I was quite relieved. The rooms were attractively decorated, the beds and pillows and bed linens were exceptional, the air conditioning functioned well and the staff was courteous and helpful. My only reservation was that the bathroom could have been cleaner. ”

• The room was one of the coziest rooms I've ever stayed in. What a pleasant surprise!

“Aside from the town itself being quaint, I highly recommend this hotel and would make another visit. From the friendly and professional staff to the contemporary but cozy hotel rooms, it offers a sense of home with soft white sheets, pillow top mattress, down pillows - a smaller version of a Four Seasons! And it's in walking distance to the main center of town.”
