• Location was great close to major highways. Directions from hotel were accurate. Rounds were beautiful.
• Parking too far from room, many stairs , bathroom tub slippery with no safety bar to hold on to.

“Although this hotel is very beautiful and relaxing. For a consumer that is just using it to sleep there it has very inconvenient location of parking to where room located. Walkway outside to room great in beautiful weather, many stairs if trying to get to your room in inclement weather.”

• Extreme difficulty in finding anything, especially my room.

“Beautiful estate, lush landscaping. Very difficult to manage getting in and out. Difficult to access parking areas from room, had to carry luggage up 3 short flights of stairs when leaving.”

• Lovely grounds.
• Virtually no guest services.

“Checked into the room, and there were no drinking glasses. When I requested them, I was transferred to room service which told me I would have to pay $5.00 per glass plus a delivery charge! On my last night, I was awaked at 10:30 by a phone call telling me I would need to move from my room to another room. This hotel is far too expensive for such poor service. I've seen it, but I wouldn't stay there again, or recommend it for anything more than a basic business conference.”

• Beautiful outdoor setting conveniently located on ancient styled property. Wonderful amenities.
• Somewhat challenging finding room, parking lot too far from rooms, weddings on site interrupted stay.

“From the point of check-in with the ever so friendly and helpful staff, we were in awe at the unique surroundings. Locating the room was somewhat challenging, but once we did, we were impressed. We did find the restaurant a bit pricy but had no problems in locating restaurants nearby. The stay was perfect. Too bad we had to leave so quickly.”

• Friendly staff, romantic king mansion rooms.
• Top rooms are a bit pricey.

“Very convenient location for touring Kykuit and other Hudson River mansions. Our King mansion room was nicely furnished with outside porch that offered a view of the river. Staff is exceedingly friendly and helpful. A very nicely presented breakfast buffet is served in the Biddle Mansion, a 5 minute walk from the King Mansion. Parking lots and individual parking spaces are small and I was glad that we had the place to ourselves for most of our visit. For my wife and I, it was a perfect mid-week get-away.”

• I love the sports center and the Cabana grill crew, they were an amazing crew. I also enjoyed the restaurant cellar 49. The manager was very helpful with everything and the food was great.
• Don't have anything negative to say.

“The rooms were actually very clean. My wife loved the place and she loved the restaurant. I enjoyed the pool a lot and the crew was really helpful. This is a hotel that I will return to because the staff there was a grade a.”

• Room was extremely clean, very nice trip overall.
• Room was not as big as the last time, parking can be crowded, no house cleaning unless requested.

“Very Clean rooms. We would definitely stay there again however, house cleaning does not come unless specifically requested, the front-desk also did not supply us with our free food tickets for our complimentary breakfast. However, the hotel is beautiful and the grounds were lovely.”

• Beds were great.
• Confusing layout of space.

“Great price considering what the standard room rate was. Confusing lay out of the space. Rooms and beds/bedding were great. There was no one there at all. Very quiet. The main building was under going renovation, so front desk really pushed take out food and even gave us menus.”

• The grounds and views were beautiful. Staff was great.
• Parking was a bit of a problem.

“This hotel was great for a weekend getaway for my wife and me. It was quiet and very relaxing even though there were two wedding going on. Plenty of this to do close by and many great places to eat.”

“The site and the facilities are fine, but service is more like of a hostel - no food after 9PM in the restaurant, no room service after 10PM. Had to order pizza to deliver. No drinks or anything in mini bar. It too hard to locate. No cab driver from out of Tarrytown knows it, and the directions given by the hotel are not enough.”

• Great property and view, very impressive.
• Online directions awful and rooms needed updating

“Convenient location, mapquest directions linked completely wrong; hotel aware but took 3 people to get us there. Gorgeous location, property is a bit of a maze, easy to get lost. Rooms average, bathrooms need refurbishing ( at least in our wing). Breakfast lovely. Didn't get to see much else. ”

• The facility is beautiful, the room well appointed and comfortable.
• It is a little too spread out making it difficult to get from room to car.
