  • Very clean, very comfortable, very friendly.
  • Kind of a long walk from my room to the conference area but not so bad.

“I was very pleased with the hotel and its staff. I would definitely go back there if I needed a place to stay in that area again. p.s. awesome complimentary warm chocolate chip cookies when you check in!”

  • It was right off the highway and was the best we stayed in.
  • Did not have local brochures in lobby.

“The Hilton Doubletree was by far one of the nicest places we stayed during our trip. It was classy and clean and the staff was very helpful. We were impressed beyond measure.”

  • The people were very helpful in helping us find places to go to and directions to get there.
  • No fridge in the room.

“This hotel is very clean and the people are really helpful. It is really convenient for the train to New York City and they have a free shuttle bus to the train station. We arrived at 9 a.m. and asked to leave our car in the lot and they did better by registering us and giving us a room. Sure helped out when we got back tired and sweaty not to have to stop to register. I would recommend this hotel entirely.”

  • Great lobby and super location, right at the foot of the Tappan zee bridge and close to the Hudson line train station to New York.
  • None.

“Great place to stay that is north of New York without the hassle of the big city. Convenient location off the Tapanzee Bridge and easy to drive to. Nice and clean hotel, quiet and great service. Economical way to visit New York.”

  • The staff was great.
  • The only thing about the room that was an inconvenience was the lack of shelf space in the bathroom.

  • Nicely renovated for New York.
  • Poor cleaning and horrific house keeping.

“Subset of the standard package in other rooms (we had stayed here a month prior with Hotwire and got the full package everyday). They provided them after we requested them each time (but every time they first said they may have run out of them, but always magically found them after we insisted). Our room had two double beds rather than the king we wanted. Housekeeping:- Glasses were not changed daily. When they were changed upon our request, they were often full of dust or greasy (happened multiple times). Housekeeping repeatedly ignored the 'do not disturb' sign. Management:- Our credit card apparently was not properly recorded, although they requested and we provided at check-in. They treated us as thieves by creating a scene at our door when they apparently realized that they did not have my credit card on file, while I was on the phone, and the 'do not disturb sign' was posted. At the time we had more than a day to check out. They could have simply called or left a note. Nobody apologized when I was summoned to the front desk to provide the credit card for the second time. Restaurant:- Good food, ok service, pricy.”

  • The lobby was beautiful, friendly staff, good cookies.
  • $20 breakfast.

“Hotel was in a great location, loved the Eldarado diner across the street. Hotel shuttle took us to train station, very nice, will def. Come again.”

  • Friendly staff and the checkup call to make sure the room met my expectations.

“This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are spacious and look to be recently redone with flat screen TV's and free internet. The beds are very comfortable. The shower has plenty of hot water and the staff is very polite. I'll definitely stay here again the next time I'm in the area.”

  • It was kid friendly - carpet nice and durable and the staff didn't frown at my kids once.
  • The maid staff was a bit lax -- water bottles were never replenished, towels weren't replaced properly, creamer not replaced properly, etc.

“Overall, this was a great place to stay for our vacation with our 2 toddlers. The rooms were spacious enough for the children to bounce around a bit and not get hurt. It had been recently remodeled so everything was clean. Room service was prompt and when we asked for extra towels they came quickly as well. The maid service was a bit wanting, but since they responded so quickly if we asked for something, it wasn't really an issue.”

  • Room recently refurbished; new carpeting.
  • Common spaces such as hallways and elevator not clean.

“Read that hotel was redone and reopened recently. While room was clean, hallways and elevators were dirty, dirty sheets piled in old noisy elevator, hallways not vacuumed. Front desk very polite, but hotel doesn't appear to be well run. Missing tissues and toilet paper in room when checked in. Feels like old spread out motel with only room furnishings new. This hotel is definitely not a 3 star hotel and is bested by 2 and 2 and one half star hotels in area.”

  • We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the room.

“The lobby and fitness room were fine, having just undergone a $45 million renovation. However, the hotel was virtually empty, and they put us way in the back of the hotel, at the end of a long hallway, right next to the exit door. The carpeting in the room was stained and not thoroughly vacuumed. There was some trash in one of the wastebaskets, and a balled up piece of duct tape on the bathroom floor when we arrived. I was expecting much more, and would not be thrilled to get this hotel again. Hard to see where they spent $45 million.”
