• I loved everything about the Melrose. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends and family. We definitely will stay at the Melrose again.
• I can't think of one single thing that I did not like. Wow! It was fantastic.

“I give the Melrose a high score because it was exceptionally clean and elegantly decorated. Our room was spacious and so comfortable. The entire staff was helpful and courteous. Everyone should stay at the Melrose when visiting New York. Some family from New York came to visit us at the hotel and commented on the beautiful accomodations. They said they had seen many NYC hotels like the Hudson, the Waldorf, etc. and The Melrose was the best. ”

• Location is excellent. Transportation is easily accessed and the hotel is within walking distance of most desirable areas.
• My room was miniscule! I asked for and received at considerable extra cost a slightly larger room.

“The Melrose has the potential to be a great hotel, but needs some serious attention given to staff efficiency and room configuration. Standard rooms are impossibly small and claustrophobic. I resented having to pay more to upgrade to a decent sized room. I would not recommend this hotel to friends.”

• Uncomfortable beds, very small rooms.Wanted king size bed. Not available.

“Good location. Rooms very small. When using we couldn't get a king size bed. Had to settle for the most uncomfortable twin beds. Need a good coffee shop or restaurant.”

• Very convenient for our purposes - excellent safe location.
• Heating/cooling problem in room - had to open windows to cool room.

“Overall, was impressed by The Melrose House: excellent location in a safe area convenient to transit system. Hotel is clean and staff is professional. Only issue was with the heater/air conditioning system which required us to open the windows to cool-off the room. Would recommend.”

“Overpriced extras - including access to the gym, $1 per bag to store for a few hours, etc. This hotel is overrated!”

“We received a small room (approx. 20'15) with one double bed. It did not contain an ironing board, the lights were damaged, etc. We voiced our concerns with the staff at the hotel and did not receive a response that was acceptable. We were told that there was nothing they could do and that the manager would be notified. We did not hear from him. This trip to NY was not as pleasant as we hoped for because of the hotel selection.”

“Good location, great gym, rooms are tiny even for New York, the origi
