• All the hotel staff members were exceptionally friendly, efficient, and accommodating in every situation.
• There was nothing I didn't like about the hotel.

“We anticipated chaos upon arrival, but the very minute we arrived at the hotel door, the hotel street staff had us unloaded and our car was whisked away to be parked. Checking in was speedy and friendly, and it was a relief to find they had given us the unusual bed selection we had requested (two beds in each room). The rooms were beautifully appointed and very clean. Checkout was efficient, and they held our bags until later in the day. When we later came to retrieve the bags and our car, it took less than 10 minutes for us to be on our way back home.”

• Each staff member we met was friendly, helpful and amazing.
• I liked every single thing about this hotel and my stay.

“I was incredibly happy with the Marriott at Lexington and 49th, New York, New York. I will most likely stay there each time I visit NYC, which is often, for both business and leisure. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the beds very, very comfortable, I was totally pleased with my visit.”

• Location.
• The room was right by the elevator and so noisy late at night.

“A very good hotel located within easy walking distance of Broadway and other attractions. Great bar with snacks. Very friendly and accommodating staff. My husband left some clothes in a drawer (thinking I had packed them) and the staff located them and held them for him to pick up the next day. Great service.”

• I know Manhattan and the location of this hotel. It was a tremendous savings.
• No fan in the bathroom.

“This Marriott is right across from the Waldorf Astoria. It is in the best location to visit the theaters, the park, and the museums. The hotel was clean, comfortable, quiet, and welcoming.”

• The bed and bedding were great!
• The elevators were a bit small.

“Marriott has done another great job in renovating this approx 100 yr old property. The public spaces, hallways and rooms were clean and well appointed. Located across the street from the intercontinental and Waldorf Astoria Hotels, I felt we were in good company.”

• It was extremely clean & very comfortable.
• Nothing.

“We were very pleasantly surprised at this hotel. It appeared to be newly renovated & very clean. The staff was very friendly & helpful. Although we have stayed at many Marriotts around the world this was one of the nicest. The location was great, close to Penn Station & a subway line. Also a lot of restaurants and bars close by. I would recommend it to anyone visiting that area of Manhattan.”

• The room was spotless and the design of both the lobby and room made it seem like a luxury hotel.
• Wanted to extend a second night at same rate and couldn't, but not their fault!

“Great staff; lovely room with beautiful bathroom. Perfect location if you don't mind a bit of a walk to touristy type places. Midtown, convenient, safe, but not in the middle of all the chaos. Much better than the Park Central New York which I stayed at the week before and which cost far more.”

“We were very pleased with our stay from check in to checkout. We arrived expecting to check our luggage but were pleasantly surprised to find our room was ready. How nice this was after a 21/2 hr train ride.”

• Non smoking hotel newly renovated beautiful.
• I can find no fault with this hotel.

“I stayed with my daughter and 9yr old granddaughter, the hotel is non smoking, we had a large corner room with king bed and queen size sleeper sofa. The bedding was very comfortable, lots of pillows. Bathroom was also large and had the most wonderful shower head. I would give this hotel a 4 star rating. The staff is very helpful. Free morning coffee in lobby and cereal, fruit, muffins etc for sale at a reasonable price.”

• The bed and sheets were soft and unbelievably uncomfortable.
• The concierge tried to sell us a bus tour package when asking directions to attractions and became not interested when we did not want it.

“Hotel was everything we could have expected and more so for the price. We loved it and would definitely recommend it.”

• Great location, friendly and professional service! Room was clean and well equipped.

“We had a fantastic stay at the Marriott New York east side! We had stayed the previous night in the Radisson at 5th Ave. The Marriott, at a much lower rate, was 100 times superior!”

• Mold, broken air conditioner, the elevator bank on our floor was ripped apart.

“Mold on the ceiling, an air conditioner that didn't work. What looked like to be the worst rooms in the place.”

• The staff was professional, friendly, helpful, and paid close attention to detail. A pleasure.
• The waiter who delivered the room service was very short with me and my spouse.

“The hotel is located in a safe, upscale neighborhood. It is centrally located near all attractions. Walking distance to all activities from uptown central park to midtown times square. It was a pleasure staying here. Will most certainly stay with the Marriott again.”
