• Great location for seeing Broadway shows.
• Found the bathroom really small.

“The hotel has a very trendy and clean appearance which I liked. The room was nice and clean. The only negative was the bathroom was somewhat smaller than I expected.”

• Location was great. Safe environment. Staff was friendly.
• Temperature in room and throughout hotel was hot & stuffy most of the time - and we went in November.

“Location of hotel was great. Safe environment. Staff was friendly. Nice big flat screen TV. Shower pressure was awesome! Only complaints that room was very hot first night we arrived. Could not leave air on entire day or it froze up. Once we figured that out, we worked around it - but one would assume a 4 star hotel wouldn't have these issues.”

• Chic, comfy, close to everything.
• Jets in the tub turned on spontaneously at different points throughout the day and night. No water in it at the time. We could turn it off.

“Great spot--close to everything. Lovely rooms and overall decor was very attractive. Would definitely stay here again.”

• I loved the staff.
• The noise from outside the hotel.

“The staff was excellent!! From the moment my daughter and I arrived, we were treated warmly. Our room was upgraded to a penthouse suite. Great room - but no view. But we liked the central location. I would definitely stay here again!!”

• Great design and style, artwork, feel and look, wonderful staff, 1st class bedding, clean.
• Room really small, but typical New York.

“Wonderful staff, great location, terrific "feel", style, fun artwork, great gym. Great restaurant, open late, good wine and staff. Very helpful bellman. Rooms very small, but very clean with excellent bedding, newspaper out front every morning. Loved the place. Just the small rooms are hard to take but then, that's New York.”

• Bed was extremely comfortable.
• Lack of decor and inconvenience of bathroom.

“Our stay at the Shoreham Hotel was a pleasant experience, but not without fault. The plus side included the location in midtown, the comfort of the bed (maybe the best we've slept in), and the quiet atmosphere. We were also upgraded to a king size bed which we requested on check-in. On the minus side, an ice bucket we requested was never delivered; no creamer was available for the coffee machine. Unusual decor in public spaces. Not a 4 star hotel.”

• Very chic, yet comfortable. Location was excellent. Perfect for romantic getaway.
• The towel rack was awkwardly located left of the sink, but there was really no other place for it.

“This was a great place to stay; clean, urban-chic, comfortable, and centrally located in Midtown Manhattan. This hotel really did a good job with minimalist design decor. The public areas were comfortable and immaculate. The front desk offers complimentary water or champagne upon check-in. There's a small area with complimentary self service espresso, cappuccino, assorted teas, and hot chocolate 24x7. The room itself was small, but that's standard for Manhattan. The room had a large flat screen TV, luxe bedding, well-designed lighting, and the best mini bar set-up I've ever seen. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. We really felt like we got a tremendous deal on this hotel. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.”

• Great location, if you want to go to theatre.
• You could get from the bar into the hotel without going past the security officer. It seemed potentially unsafe.

“My room was the smallest hotel room I have ever been in. Clean and well done, but extremely small.”

“Very nice and simple hotel with a great location. The only thing that makes it a 4 star hotel is the location. Great for business travelers and vacationers on a budget, but not luxurious.”

• The location was great; the room was quiet; the breakfast buffet was excellent.
• I had to wait a half hour to get a room at 3 pm; I had the feeling that I was being sidelined for other guests; then a smoking room.

“Nice clean hotel in a great location. I did not want a smoking room but was told that was all that was available after a half hour wait.”

• Close to everything in town.
• Promises that were made prior to the trip werent met.

“This hotel really could've been a lot better. Our room phone was broken and we got charged for trying to call the front desk due to their broken phone. We didn't get 2 roll in beds in 2 rooms that we asked for well before and during our stay. The manager wasn't able satisfy any of our problems.”

• They offered free water/champagne when you walk in.
• The room was a bit small.

“The hotel was in a great location, just walking distance from the theatres. The staff was friendly and there was free water, champagne, coffee, and hot chocolate. The hotel was very clean with a modern decor feel to it.”

• Location was great and staff was very accommodating.
• Rooms were very small, bed and pillows too soft.

“Overall, it was an enjoyable stay. The hotel staff was very professional and helpful. Room was very small and had considerable street noise (but hey, it's NY). Good location - within a few blocks of many things. However, would not rate this as a 4-star hotel.”

• Rooms are very tight on space, other than sleeping and dressing, very small.
