• Great location. Loved the neighborhood and having so much living space.
• Room could be cleaner. Cleaning crew loud in early morning.

• Our suite had quite a bit more space than most comparable East Mid hotels.
• No complaints at all - it was an excellent bargain.

“A short walking distance from Grand Central terminal is an excellent value hotel for those New York travelers on a budget. Our suite had a full kitchen and though there were only two of us, I felt 4 or 5 adults could have comfortably shared this suite, as long as no one's idea of a fun time in NY is to sit in the room watching TV. This hotel would also appeal to business travelers not on expense accounts who may want to microwave or buy something at a nearby Deli.”

• I enjoyed the size of the room and that fact that it has a kitchen and a living area!
• No wireless internet service available!

“The hotel staff was friendly, polite and very helpful. The location of the hotel is convenient for me as I was able to walk to many of NY's attractions. The room, though a bit old-fashioned, is spacious and comfortable. Overall, my experience in this hotel was positive and I would definitely stay there in the future, and recommend it to friends.”

• The best thing was that the hotel was so close to everything - it's right next to 5th Ave and Empire State Building!
• I don't have complaints.

• No place to load & unload your car.

“If traveling in a group to visit the city. This is the hotel for you. Rooms very spacious. If you don't mind a little walk, it's within walking distance to almost everything.”

• Spacious suite-style room.

“I showed them the form, the desk clerk talked to her manager, and the problem (whatever it was) was resolved. After that I had no more problems and a nice stay in a location that's really hard to beat.”

• I was looking for a comfortable place to sleep. It was that and much more.

• This hotel was located very close to major attractions in New York City.
• The room that we stayed in smelled like someone had smoked in it in the past, although it was a non-smoking room.

• Old, too firm beds.

“My 1-10 rating of this hotel doesn't do it justice. Yes, the furniture looks like it's from the 1960's, and the TV is a 19 incher. But this is a suite! A suite! Living room, kitchen. I had 2 queen sized beds. My suite was, I would guess about 750 square feet! The hotel has recently put free Wi-Fi in the lobby, but there still is none in the rooms. With the lobby access, atleast you can survive, but they really should add it to the rooms soon. Even though it feels far from the hot spots of town, it's a 6 dollar cab ride to time square and there is virtually no city street noise to wake you up during the night.”

• Distance.

“I liked the largeness of the rooms. It was clean, and provided excellent service. We knew we would be away from the theater district, so the distance wasn't a major problem for us.”

• Suite with furnished kitchen, dining, living room; homey feel.
• Old, no internet in the room, extra blankets had holes in them.

“Great for families. We were able to make our own breakfast in the morning thanks to the furnished kitchen in our suite and a nearby convenience store. Did not feel like you were in a hotel, felt like you were in a rented apartment, a much more homey feel.”

• Size, the fact you could check in/out quickly.
• The fact you could not get a real suite for the price.

“We had stayed at the hotel before. We thought it had a separate bedroom (for parents), or at least a regular size sofa for an older child to sleep, but this was not the case. I did a lot of searches trying to find a room for 3 people, but nothing came up.”
