“Good location, but I had to leave the room to change my mind.”

“T elevator cut off 30 - 35 % of the room and divided the room in half with a small opening between the two ections of the room. Picture two small boxes connected on two corners with a two foot walkway between them and the space not available is the elevator. I asked if there was something else available and got a no. Not true, just did not want to bother. Breakfast was fine and location was excellent; it was just a shabby hotel in a nice area that I would not stay in again. To be nice, the bathroom was clean, but tiny.”

“I was first given a room where the TV doesn't work, then I changed into a new one (I was asked to pack all my luggage, and took them to the check in desk, and then took everything to the new room! the staff was very indifferent, and unwilling to help), but the new room was even worse. The staff told me nothing he can do, and asked me to talk to the manager next morning if there's anything to complain. Unwilling to do that all over again, I didn't. It is justifiable to be the worst hotel I have ever experienced in the United States!”

“Our room was next to the elevator and an access door which felt like we were in the utility room with the constant noise of the elevator the slamming door and the water pipes.”

“I had a short stay at the Comfort Inn Central Park West. The room was inexpensive and the location was great. A nice, safe area, with lots of small restaurants and shops nearby, it was only a short walk to Lincoln Center. The staff was pleasant and accommodating with me and with all the interactions with other guests that I witnessed. My room was small, but it was clean. The linens were nice with extra pillows. Like most Comfort Inns they offer a free breakfast, a convenience if you don't want to walk a block to find real food. I even found a place on the street to park my car. I'm going back.

“Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff makes this an excellent choice if you're on a budget. The room was quiet and spacious enough. The A/C was quiet and efficient, the hotel was quiet throughout (no noisy neighbors or corridors), the entire hotel was clean in the common areas as well as the room and the free breakfast was a nice extra. Only nits: the bed was too saggy (I have a bad back and require firmness), the bathtub drain was slow (but easily fixable) and at the free breakfast the cereal ran out at the mid-point of its open hours. Other than that, a great stay. I'd recommend this hotel to anybody.”

“This room was extremely small! When I sat on the end of the bed, my feet were in the bathroom. The AC unit was old and smelled when I ran it. The bed sagged & the elevator took forever to reach the higher floors.”

“Great location, very close to the Subway and upper west-side restaurants/nightlife. The room was small, but clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and even let me check-in earlier than the usual time. I would definitely stay here again.”

“The hotel was not what according to the price. Very small that a tall or a big individual can not be accommodated. Future lawsuits will occur if they do not model the old hotel. No space at all.”

“Well located on the Upper West Side close to CP, the Museum of Natural History and many restaurants. Small, clean, hotel with helpful staff. Ensure you get a room facing outward, otherwise your room will small and dark.”

“The location was perfect. Beautiful west end location at Central Park and within walking distance to Lincoln Center. The room was tiny, but the bed was very comfortable. When we arrived we found our room to be accommodating, with a king size bed and a new HDTV--however, the TV was not working and the hotel had to find another room for us. They put us in a smaller room with a queen size bed and a semi-private bath (with see-through glass). Except I was traveling with my mother in law and not quite the ideal setting. This room had an old TV, but good reception, so we were fine with this. It was quiet and restful. I would stay at this hotel again.”

“This low-priced hotel is just a 1-minute walk away from Central Park, and the Subway is right around the corner. But on the negative side, our room was shabby and very small (the bed took up 80% of the room easily). Most of the electric outlets were not functional. The bathroom was miniscule; the toilet was practically under the sink. We took a cruise in March and that bathroom was positively spacious in comparison. The lobby was tiny and dirty, and used to store hotel supplies in stacks of boxes. There is a small continental breakfast room with around 5 tables. But there is nowhere you can hang out or relax - no bar or usable lobby, etc. This hotel is purely a cheap, affordable place to sleep at night, and nothing more. When you wake up in the morning, just leave and spend the day somewhere else. Come back only when you're ready to go straight to bed.”

“Ongoing constructions on the outside prevented seeing much out of the windows, but you do not want to stay inside - that close to Central Park, anyhow. Great location. Only: try to avoid the private taxi service.”

“I had no idea they'd be as small as they were. This was some converted apartment building but I think they made have condensed the rooms. There was barely room enough for one person to turn around in, let alone four (and I'm only 5'3" tall!).”
