  • Beautiful lobby.
  • Rooms were too small with no work area.

“Lovely old hotel in great location but rooms were too much small and no work area for business travelers.”

  • The reception is amazing. Like in 5 stars hotel.
  • Room is too small and looks very old.

“Good views and the
reception is so beautiful. This place was used in many movies. Quite expensive, but in NYC nothing is cheap.”

  • This hotel was beautiful and historic.
  • The room was very small.

“Overall this hotel was very nice and in a great location. The room was very small, but it worked OK for two of us, as we did not spend much time in the room. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.”

  • Great location, nice lobby, and very comfortable bed.
  • Tiny room with dark dated & worn out finishes, no counter space, paper thin walls, and glum staff.

“Great convenient location, worth the stay if you can get a good deal but be mindful that the tiny rooms are dark, a bit noisy, and lacking in amenities. With a couple of exceptions, the staff in general was not the most friendly or helpful.”

  • Location
  • Stairs to enter lobby.

“Excellent location, clean, friendly staff, nice sized rooms for NYC.”

  • We liked its looks and characteristics.
  • The bathtub would not drain properly when taking a shower.

“It was worth the money, but there could have been a small fridge and a microwave for that cost.”

  • Location.
  • Rooms need updating.

“Clean, accommodating, pedestrian looking rooms.”

  • Location.
  • Elevators to slow, most NY hotels allow you to check in early.

“Overall a very nice stay. Had a king bed room. Nice size. Location was great. We normally stay around 44th between 6th and 7th, but this was fine. Elevators were a bit slow and crowded at times, TV reception was bad and not a lot of channels, but overall we would stay again.”

  • Location was great!!

“Was told by the hotel staff that we had a king deluxe room. When arrived we received a room with 2 double beds. Did not accommodate us.”

  • Very nice bed.
  • Small bathroom.

“Excellent location! Very comfortable bed, high quality linens, corner suite with two windows was awesome. The bathroom was very small and old, but clean and functional. Mini fridge, two club chairs, desk + chair, safe, closet. The hotel lobby is gorgeous. Customer service was very attentive. The location is perfect, Grand Central is around the block. Would stay here again.”

  • Great location, lobby and other common areas grand and comfortable.
  • Room size & furnishings would not accomodate visitors.

“Great location for sights, shopping adn transportation (near Grand Central and airport shuttles); courteous and helpful staff;common areas comfortable, and a great place to meet with friends and family.”

  • It was in a very good location.
  • The fact that it did not have a coffee machine in the room and having to pay for internet access.

“This hotel is in a great location and when you enter the lobby it's very grand. However the bedrooms do not live up to that initial impression. They were small and cramped, I skinned my shin when I left the dresser drawer open because the space was so tight between the dresser and the bed. The beds had clean linen every day and clean towels were also provided. But my overall impression of the room and bathroom was that they were not 100% clean. Also, for a 3.5 star hotel I would expect at least a coffee maker in the room which it did not provide and I also thought the $14.95 per day internet charge was too much.”

  • Location and beds were comfortable.
  • Small room, omly paper cups, bathroom small and musty, and elevators were slow.

“Room assigned to us was extremely small. Based on the room, I consider the hotel two stars at best.”

  • Price and Location.
  • Nothing exceptional at all.

“Hotel was fine and met our needs. It was located in the area we desired and price was right. However, we stayed at many motels on our extended trip across the country and most were better than the Roosevelt Hotel in NYC.”

  • Location was great.
  • Room was small and bathroom was dirty.

“This hotel was in a great location and the interior of the lobby was beautiful. Beyond that though, the hotel didn't measure up. The room was very small with a terrible view on the 16th floor. The bathroom was filthy hairs on the towels, floors and inside shower. The bellmen were overbearing and waited around for tips. Very unclassy. I would not stay here again.”

  • Great location and
walk a couple of block to Times Square.
  • This is an old hotel and it shows quite a bit.

“This is an old but very nice hotel. Great location. Very busy during the weekends.”

“The bathroom remodeling job was poorly done as the water would leak through the shower enclosure and flood the bathroom floor. The 6 elevators just can't keep up with the flow of guests. Be prepared for long waiting to get on the elevators. The staffs are reluctant to recommend alternative parking options and the hotel parking is very expensive.”

  • Comfortable, clean, nice lobby and great location.
  • Small bathroom, slow elevators.

“This hotel was more than adequate. While it is an old facility, and so the rooms are small, it is clean and comfortable.”

  • Beautiful hotel, great room!
  • The bathroom could've used some updating/renovations.

“Overall we loved The Roosevelt! The staff graciously upgraded us to a junior suite - the hotel in general was in great condition - nice rooms, etc. The bathrooms seemed a bit out-dated, but for the price on Priceline - it was amazing!”

  • The lobby was the only clean and nice part of the hotel.
  • Room was full of mold, mildew, very dirty chairs and very uncomfortable bed.

“Dirty, full of mold, mildew and very uncomfortable bed. Bathroom floor had genital hair from previous occupants and the chairs were black from dirt. I recommend, not to visit.”
