• Lovely appointments, comfortable bed, great shower and totally New York at it's best.
• I thought I was going to be at the W at Union Square where my son and his family live, unfortunately I was several miles away -more exp in traveling.

“It was lovely from the moment you step in the door of the lobby.
The personnel are all very accommodating and wanting to meet my every need. I needed to change from a king to 2 Queens to have our grown son join us. I had arranged for a message the day we were leaving and they had a very nice car service that took me right to the spa and all I had to do is catch a taxi back.”

• Staff very accomodating and observant. Eager to please.
• Outdated bathrooms with no shelf space and lousy bathtubs.

“Very nice (albeit small) lobby; very attentive staff (including concierge). Dinner at Icon restaurant (in outside garden) was wonderful, and arrangements concierge made for me at nearby Bliss spa turned out to be fabulous. I would definitely stay there again.”

• Convenient, helpful, interesting and enthusiastic staff.
• No desk in room.

“Great place to stay. Easy to get around the city from this location. Acura courtesy car and driver were very helpful.”

• Beautiful, public areas and bar.
• Staff very friendly, room was clean, but needed upkeep in bar area.

“Our parking for 24 hours was an additional $68 that would not have been charged. We also thought that the concierge could have been better informed as we were very specific about wanting to go to an upscale restaurant. Specifically said that money and location was no object, were sent to a very casual, local diner that we chose to pass on. Not a bad travel experience by any means.”

• Bed was very comfortable.
• bathroom was a little small.

“I stayed for one night only, and the man at the door was extremely nice and helpful. He got all our bags and also got the cabs for us. The room was very nice. I enjoyed my stay.”

• Have stayed before, this experience was not as good as the last time.
• The room smelled like skunks, which they had to come spray for. Noisy neighbors at 4:30, blaring radio, front desk needed to be called.

“Last time we stayed they had fabulous sheets and blankets that you could order and buy, what happened? That was one of the reasons we chose to stay there again. I don't know if we would again.”

• Great location and very friendly staff, concierge with excellent suggestions.
• None.

“I enjoyed this hotel. You are in NYC. You shouldn't be in the hotel. But, for the time that you are, the accommodations are very comfortable. The concierge really hooked us up with swanky spa services on 5th avenue and a hip vegetarian restaurant. It made our trip.”

• The bed was very comfortable and the flat screen picture was great.
• The lobby was very small and could be cramped.

• Very comfortable and well kept while being extremely hip.
• Not much to say.

“The hotel was great. I am allergic to smoke. I had to reserve a third night to get upgraded to a non-smoking room.”

• Loved the "W" CD & bliss products.
• Bathroom was a little run down.

“The front desk gals were super friendly and gave us excellent recommendation for breakfast at a nearby restaurant. Great location and will definitely stay at the w again. I think we fell in WUV.”

• Very luxurious! The room and beds were very comfortable!
• It's in a business area, so many dining choices are only open until 5 p.m.

“A grand, old hotel. It has history and yet is still modern and luxurious. The staff was helpful for the most part, although I didn't have much luck with the concierge over the phone. Driving up is kind of tricky since there is no inlet. You just hope there's a spot in front of the hotel. The valet service retrieved the car in a timely manner and the parking charge included in and out privileges. The location was very convenient to the Metro, and it was in a "safe" area of town. There wasn't a lot of night life directly around, though. I felt taken care of during my stay and would definitely return.”

• Key system kept malfunctioning. The TV guide for movies and other things didnt work.

“Good place to stay. Our room was upgraded which was nice as I understand the normal rooms are quite small.”

• Feels very deluxe.
• Cannot think of anything negative.

“Excellent service and friendly staff. The hotel is decorated in sleek, modern style, with care down to the smallest detail. Location near grand Central Station is convenient, although the east side of NYC is a bit of a hike to theater, museums etc. Overall, an excellent weekend destination.”

• Modern, clean, quiet (get courtyard-facing room), great bed, and friendly staff.
• Bathroom lighting harsh for boutique hotel; very expensive parking.

“Definitely would stay here again. Only small gripe is that late night parking. Valet said parking tax was included in the quoted rate of $58 (24 hr. parking for a small) but at checkout we were charged the extra 18% NYC parking tax. The staff apologized however and the error was said to be due to an uninformed valet.”

• The king size bed! Terrace was nice too.
• No coffee pot in the room. This was a bummer.

“I came to nay for a bachelorette party weekend and choose to stay in a suite complete with a terrace overlooking NY city. The room was great. Service was great. I only wish I had more time in the hotel room! I hosted the pre-party in my suite and found everything to be completely geared for entertaining. Awesome stay.”
