• Lots of nice light via large window in bathroom. Very clean, what I wanted, a place to relax and sleep for the night.
• The movie and television menu service was not functioning; I would have loved to watch a movie. Cable TV was a good alternative.

“Great place to stop for a night; smallish room, not much more than a bed, but a nice bathroom. Clean and comfortable. Good location. Good to know for future reference.”

• Small rooms, street noise.

“This is a clean, comfortable hotel in a great location. While it would be a bit expensive elsewhere, it is reasonably priced for New York. The rooms are small and mine had quite a bit of street noise, but overall it was pleasant.”

• The bathroom was completely renovated and clean.
• You could smell the old with the new paint.

“Like most hotels in New York, there is no parking but this particular hotel uses a garage 2 blocks away. The hotel staff were dressed sloppy and too laid back, not inviting.”

• Elevators tied up hotel under construction.

• I liked the price, the temperpedic beds, and the flat screen TV. It was very modern!
• I expected a room with two double beds or a king size bed, but go a queen for two adults and two kids to share. We made due.

“This hotel passed my expectations. It had temperpedic beds, flat screen TVs, updated bathrooms, continental breakfast and it was very clean. I would defiantly recommend and would return.”

“Does not meet the expectations. It was tiny. The bathroom was tiny with a super loud noise which was the whole day and night on, the hotel was under repair, one single bed for two people, bad customer service. We were very disappointed and complained, but no result in addition to that we got our welcome present (razor, deo, toothpaste etc) when we left, not when we arrived!”

“The hotel is remodeling. We were given smoking rooms the first night, we had requested non. Then, we had to change rooms the next day. No compensation was offered, not even an apology. Small, but clean rooms.”

• Iffy outlets, step up into bathroom.

“Excellent location. I wish it had been cheaper for a 1-star hotel, but I was impressed with the helpfulness of staff and room accommodations. Above and beyond what I expected!”

• I love the location of the hotel.
• No parking for our car.

“I would highly recommend this hotel for those on a budget but would still want a place on Manhattan. The room is very clean and the Tempur-Pedic bed was simply excellent. The best value for money hotel throughout my stay in the States.”

• Front desk was very helpful with providing directions an attraction.
• Bed was hard.

“Although the hotel provides the basic needs, it does provide free of charge a great breakfast. What a great selection! You are paying for the "location" of the hotel. You are in walking distance to where the action is: Time Square, and Penn Station/subway station.”

• Very convenient location and good value for a hotel in Manhattan.
• Heater clanged when it was turned on, so that couldn't be used.

“The Eastside Ramada was clean, cheap (for Manhattan) and very well located, just a couple of blocks from the subway. The only problem I had was with the heater. It clanged a lot when it was turned on. Luckily, the weather room stayed warm enough without it. The free continental breakfast was a nice way to start out the morning, but watch out for the coffee.”
