“This maybe the tenth time I have stayed with a Morgan's Hotel and the worst. All the staff was horribly rude. The restaurant was closed, and not just for the night, the bartender was rude and yelled at us when we wanted a drink. He told us to go somewhere else because he was busy. The bed was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept on. The noise from the street was unbearable, and as a result I didn't sleep the entire night. When we said something the next morning the manager just shrugged it off and walked away. I will never stay at a Morgan's Hotel again.”

“Great experience. Loved the location, the staff and the overall hotel amenities. Hotel is clean and new and hip. Staff are courteous and incredibly friendly and helpful. Room size is a negative, especially the bathroom. Bedding, sheets, pillows and comforters were excellent. I would definitely recommend the hotel and will stay there again.”

“First glimpse, you think it’s a fancy hotel, but wait till you get to your room. A queen bed with only 2 feet around. That's it. Barely any space to move or even walk through the room. Even the toilet is so small, cannot fit the average adult person. I think if I was taller than 6 feet, or heavier then 250 lbs, I literally would not fit to set on the toilet. The room windows were neither weather, nor noise proof. You can feel the cold breeze come down on the bed, and hear all the emergency vehicles outside, exactly if you were lying sleep on the side of the street. The thermostat was available in the room, but obviously was giving heat only, so when it was on, the room was boiling, and we were caught between the boiling room, and very cold October breeze from the leaky windows to the outside. We had our neighbor in the next room complain of the same issues, the next morning.”

“Great location, unusual lobby - dark, but lovely, very small rooms, but well-appointed - IPod charger is nice, shower/tub very small & narrow. Nice (but expensive) bar.”

“Very cool hotel in an excellent location with amazing lobby, courtyard, library bar, restaurant and roof bar.....very small room that looks like a cruise ship room. Excellent service.”

“If you traveling alone, and your 20 to 30 year old...you will love this place! If you are traveling with someone...you will be very cramped.”

“The staff was exemplary, polite, efficient and friendly. Any items we had questions on were answered very satisfactorily and promptly. Directions were well-described, easy to follow and everyone we asked was ready with them. My only problem with this hotel was the shoddy towels and beds. If you're going to market yourself as a boutique hotel you need to cover all aspects. The Hudson seemed to spare no expense wowing guests with it's public spaces, they are all fantastic. But as soon as you get off the elevator on a rooms floor you find yourself in a dimly lit hallway with horrible yellow lights illuminating every room's number. It felt like one of those horror flicks where the guests check in and never check out. The room itself was very nice to look at, trim on the amenities but that was expected. The quality of the towels was that of a lesser-starred hotel feeling rough and thin. The bed felt like a pull-out couch apparatus, attached to the wall, concealed by a hip headboard and wooden panels on the sides. The mattress was very thin and both myself & my husband woke up sore and stiff both mornings we were there. I would consider staying there again. I understand you don't get much in NYC as far as space goes, but that's no reason to chintz on quality of room basics for that much money. And I didn't even pay full price, thanks to Priceline. I would have been very disgruntled had I paid the full rate.”

“The hotel is in a great location right near Columbus Circle. The lobby and lounges are very hip and elegantly decorated. The room is a joke. Felt like I was on a train. Two people couldn't move at the same time. I've been on cruise ships that have larger bathrooms! The quality of the room is not consistent with a 3.5 star.”

“We were extremely disappointed when we got into this hotel. The check in staff was very not friendly. They tried to charge more money, which is not professional. I will not recommend this hotel to anybody. This hotel definitely does not meet the 3.5 star expectations. The most I would give this hotel would be 1 star, as the rooms are like motel rooms.”

“Great hotel but the rooms are really much too small. Much much too small. Literally, I almost hit my head on the
TV that is on the wall, as there is not another option of getting out of bed.”

“The rooms of the hotel are very cool in design, although they are really (I mean really!) small. The location of the hotel is great however and the food at the restaurant and from room service is excellent. The rooftop bar is a real treasure.”

“Good NYC hotel for tourists who don't expect to spend much time in their room. Hudson is trying to be a modern, funky place - but beyond the front entrance and lobby is just a basic hotel in a great location.”

“The staff was very helpful. The hotel was very clean and well decorated. The hotel rooms were small, but the space was very efficiently used so it was not a problem. Everything was very modern. I did not eat at the hotel, however, the drinks were rather expensive.”

“The hotel is in a nice location and the common areas are very nice. It's a hip and trendy location. On the down side, the room was ridiculously small for a 4 star hotel. There was only room for the bed in the sleeping area, no dresser at all. The bathroom was so small that my knees hit the wall when I was on the toilet. In fact, I had to spread my knees apart to fit and I'm only 5' 11". Luckily we only stayed one night.”

“Great hotel if you like loud noise (music) and scantly dressed barmaids. I'm guessing the younger crowd loves it.”

“Hotel is modern and has a upscale, pricey bar to match. The rooms are ridiculously small and make you feel more like on a bad cruise than in a supposedly 3 star hotel. This hotel ranks with budget hotels. The public hallways are dimly lit, dingy looking.”
