• The atmosphere and location was great. Also, they had a wonderful concierge.
• The hotel did not have a pool.

“This hotel is situate in a wonderful location in Time Square. The front desk was helpful, quick and efficient. The concierge was friendly and informative. The valet parking and curb service was inviting and helpful. This rooms were a comfortable size with wonderful amenities. You will be very pleased with your stay here.”

• You have to go to the 7th floor to check in.

• Good size rooms.
• It could have been a little cleaner.

“The location was very central, it was nice and modern, although I thought it was a little shabby with the rust showing on the stainless steel in the bathroom, the grout needed re-doing in the bathroom, it was a nice size room. The bed was comfortable and it had a nice size plasma TV.”

• It was very modern and updated, yet had a warmth about it.
• I noticed that the painters were a bit sloppy - left behind paint on the floor and tile.

“Wonderful place to stay, especially if you like a modern atmosphere. Centrally located in Times Square where 7th Avenue meets Broadway. Quick walk to everywhere in mid-town Manhattan. Hotel staff was extremely courteous and pleasantly accommodating. If you like the nightlife, check out the fabulous bar on the 7th floor! Rooms and closet are a bit small, but its NYC, so you sort of expect that! Parking was pricey at $56 per day. Overall - very nice experience we would definitely stay there again.”

“This hotel was in the heart of Times Square which was great for the price ($162). The room was chic, modern and clean. The bed was more than comfy. Even being among the lights and action, the room was surprisingly quiet and dark. The staff was warm and friendly. The hotel bar was outrageously priced but always packed.”

• Very clean, great location.
• I called that we needed a non smoking room and after two awful rooms, they finally found us a non smoking room and it was fine.

“Great, except the above problem and they didn't seem to want to help even after we told them my daughter has bad asthma They said they were totally booked. After trying 2 rooms that they said weren't too bad, they reeked smoke, they finally, suddenly had a room for us. After that it was great, pretty hotel. The location was great.”

“Trendiness and style a welcome change. Well situated for 'tourist' New York. High standard of cleanliness. Personnel much friendlier/more service oriented than in other chains. Rooms smaller than average; particularly if more than 2 in group.”

• Very stylish, great location, new and excellent value.
• Design is very modern and in some cases impractical which showed in some broken/damaged furniture/fittings.

“The W Times Square is a "compact", stylish centrally located new hotel with well appointed rooms with excellent beds and top quality linen. The room I stayed in lacked a real view however I did not expect one with the deal. Staff are friendly and happy to make recommendations. The reception was generally very busy so expect some waiting. The Bar and restaurant are also very popular and quite noisy given a relatively confined space.”

“I expected The W to be clean and have exceptional service. I was very disappointed in the service and cleanliness of the W. I had to call down and request that our bathroom be cleaned upon arrival.”

• Loved everything about it!

“The Hotel W Times Square might be the "trendiest" hotel in which I have ever had the pleasure to stay. The staff was great & they were all family-friendly, though the Fun surrounding us had me wishing that I had a babysitter, ha ha!!! Awesome, clean Rooms & fun modern decor. My kids Loved the water falls through the ceiling in the lobby.”

• Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic. The kids loved the cookies and milk.
• Three different times people came into our room without knocking. The first time the person didn't know that we had checked in.

“The W hotel was beautiful, the service was wonderful. It has a very serene atmosphere. It is located in the heart of Times Square near all of the theaters. We had a wonderful experience.”

• The room seems worn. Not as well maintained or clean as it should be.

“Great location, can't be beat. Theaters, cafes, diners, etc. all around. The lobby is beautiful as is the very trendy bar. There is a wonderful scent of Satsuma which hits you as you enter the lobby. The room; however, seemed a bit worn and was not as well maintained or as clean as it should have been. The furnishings are very cutting-edge, but they are showing their age and the cleaning was a little spotty.”

• Comfortable room, great views, great bed.
• Very dark in the hallways. Bar in lobby was very loud.

“The W Hotel in New York City's Times Square is right in the heart of the action. Step out of the hotel right onto the square. Steps away from the subway, it connects you with the rest of the city with ease. Friendly, efficient staff are always ready to help with your requests. Rooms are small, but not uncomfortably so. They are well appointed with fine linen and bedding. Dark hallways, a noisy bar in the lobby and rough towels are the only bad thing I can say about the hotel.”

• The location is awesome. Hotel staff was very friendly and willing to assist with needs.
• My only complaint would be the dim lighting which is signature to the "W" hotel.

“The location is awesome right in the center of Times Square. The hotel staff is most accommodating and friendly. My only complaint would be the dim lighting in the hallways of the hotel. I know this is signature for the "W", but we were a all ladies group & some didn't feel safe. Overall the hotel was great! I would definitely recommend it to others.”
