“Hotel was in a great location close to the 72nd train station. Quiet street, room smelled a little musty but once the window was opened and I sprayed some Refreeze it was just fine. We just needed a place to sleep while we played in the city. Shared bathrooms were clean as was the room. I never had to wait to use a bathroom which was nice. I would not stay there in the summer as there seems to be no air conditioner. ”

“The hotel appears to be more a rooming house with many permanent residents on controlled or stabilized rents, one of whom informed me it is a regular occurrence, perhaps used to encourage them to seek accommodation elsewhere. Whether that is the case or not, as a paying guest I believe I had been treated outrageously and basically ripped off. Two things to consider before a stay at this place, is it reasonable to expect hot showers when staying in a "hotel". ”

“For the price, it was all I wanted. I got it from $20 less a night than I expected to find anywhere in Manhattan and it was walking distance from Central Park. The rooms however, were small and the decor just eh. I wish there would have been a lamp in the room so that the harsh overhead light wasn't the only resort. Also, the shared bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner.”

“We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Riverside Suites, we just wish we could have afforded a better location. Everything was up to par with what we paid. Everything was clean (enough) and the shared bathrooms aren't too bad. The radiant heating was noisy but rhythmical so it wasn't too hard to sleep, even though the beds were not very uncomfortable. If you stay here in the summer, be prepared to be warm - there appears to be no air conditioning! Overall, I'm satisfied with my stay here, but I'll be saving more money for a better location next time.”

“This hotel is OK for the traveler who demands little. No reception or telephones in the rooms, nor an Internet connection. No breakfast, but there's a Starbucks and similar places nearby which offsets that. Not particularly suited to business travelers (who would require phone, Internet, iron w/board, private bath, coffee maker). But an overall good experience it. I'd recommend this hotel for weekend travelers.”

“A budget traveler's dream. Clean fresh large room with two double beds, TV, sink and microwave on a quiet, residential, dead end street for under $110/night. The catch. Shared bathroom down the hall. There were two both newly remodeled and clean every time I needed them. I was on first floor south wing.”
