“Wonderful hotel if you want to be at the heart of NYC! Exactly what we wanted. We've been coming to NYC at the same time every year for the past five years and this is the first time we got this hotel. What a great Christmas present.”

“In April 2009 I stayed at the Marriott Marquis in NYC. During my stay I cashed a check for 100 USD. The hotel cashed the check in April. Then in June they cashed the check a second time. When I called to inquire I was given the run around. I call A, A tells me to call B, B tells me to call C, C tells me to call A. When I finally did get through to someone they told me this had happened to other guests, but that they would fix it. Two weeks later I received a threat laced demand letter from a collection agency hired by Marriott. They demanded that I PAY another 100 USD, plus penalties, plus interest. I sent proof to the credit rating agency that it was Marriott that owed me the money. They did not care. They kept coming after me and threatened to destroy me credit rating based on Marriott's lies. So I traced the trail of legal entities associated with this credit rating agency and threatened them with legal action if they did not back off. They stood down. Marriott still had not refunded my money. So I continued to pursue a refund from Marriott. They were unapologetic for stealing my money, unapologetic for referring me to the collection agents, and unwilling to refund the money despite the undisputed fact that they had cashed my check twice. Just as I was about to file pleadings to initiate a lawsuit to recover the money Marriott came to a settlement with me. They refunded my money and payed me for some of the damages they had inflicted. Although Marriott did end up refunding the money, pursuing the matter entailed a great deal of personal time and risk. I'm my opinion the management of the Marriott Marquis in NYC is incompetent and untrustworthy.”

“My husband and I always enjoy staying here. Its location is wonderful, if you like being in the middle of Times Square. The elevators are simply amazing. The rooms are spotless and the staff was friendly and helpful. We will stay here again.”

“The check in was fast and courteous. The location is perfect. The hotel has large rooms and was very clean. The furnishings were up to date. The only drawbacks are the food and beverage prices, internet access fee and waiting for elevators.”

“I'd say we were pleasantly surprised. I knew it was a large, very busy hotel, so didn't really expect it to be so clean and fresh looking. And, the staff couldn't have been more helpful.”

location. Close to everything. Medium sized clean ordinary room. In Times Square so lots of busyness, energy, excitement in the atmosphere. Enjoyed my stay. Might stay there again. Very convenient.”

“For business travelers in need of a Times Square hotel, the Marriott Marquis is adequate for short or longer stays. The rooms have been renovated and the atrium is spacious and a quiet respite from the cacophony on the streets. The workout facilities are serviceable but there is no swimming pool. Also, they charge for internet access which is not entirely reliable.”

“Was there 1/2009; nice, spacious room with a great view. I understand the corner rooms are larger but can be a trek from the elevator. We had an emergency; hubby had to take an ambulance ride to the hospital. Security was great! It's just nice to know how they handle something like that. No one ever thinks it will happen to them or their vacation. Think again. It can happen even when youre young, on vacation with your kid, etc. Hotel close to everything. Tourist/sightseeing, good shopping, shows, restaurants, etc. Enjoy!”

“This hotel was so beautiful and in the perfect location. We could have spent the whole weekend just exploring the hotel and the attractions right out the front door! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fun weekend in NYC.”
