• Location fantastic!! Large rooms, comfortable bed

“We loved the large rooms, lots of seating as well. We asked for a fridge and got one with no charge. Our view was of the Hudson, not Times Square but it was nice too.I would love to get this hotel again!!!”

• Economy room was spacious and luxurious.

“This was a great hotel, especially the location and atmosphere. We were right in the middle of TImes Square. THe staff was helpful and courteous, even though we were obviously not very experienced travelers.”

• Room was excellent with an amazing view of Times Square, excellent staff, very helpful and extremely friendly.
• Hotel dining was extremely expensive but that is normal.

“ We had an excellent room with a Times Square view. The location of the hotel was excellent with an exit leading out to the heart of times square. The staff were extremely friendly and very welcoming and made the stay even better than I imagined. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a great stay in NYC. ”

• Location is great for tourists and business travelers.

“Well-located large hotel in heart of Times Square, yet there was very little street noise audible in my 22nd-floor room. I did not use any of the hotel facilities - I just used the hotel as a place to sleep, so I cannot comment on food & beverage, bell services, fitness, business centers, etc.”

• Almost everything is excellent, location, room and service.
• We have to pay for internet service, valet parking is at premium.

“ This is my third time to stay at Marriott New York Marquis, the hotel location is the best in Times Square. The rooms are huge and very clean with a nice big screen TV. Elevator wait is 10 seconds and 10 seconds to your floor, very fast. The hotel staff is very courteous and accommodating. I just hope I keep getting their great deals so I would definitely keep coming back. ”

“Wonderful hotel if you want to be at the heart of NYC! Exactly what we wanted. We've been coming to NYC at the same time every year for the past five years and this is the first time we got this hotel. What a great Christmas present.”

• They stole my money by cashing my check twice.

“In April 2009 I stayed at the Marriott Marquis in NYC. During my stay I cashed a check for 100 USD. The hotel cashed the check in April. Then in June they cashed the check a second time. When I called to inquire I was given the run around. I call A, A tells me to call B, B tells me to call C, C tells me to call A. When I finally did get through to someone they told me this had happened to other guests, but that they would fix it. Two weeks later I received a threat laced demand letter from a collection agency hired by Marriott. They demanded that I PAY another 100 USD, plus penalties, plus interest. I sent proof to the credit rating agency that it was Marriott that owed me the money. They did not care. They kept coming after me and threatened to destroy me credit rating based on Marriott's lies. So I traced the trail of legal entities associated with this credit rating agency and threatened them with legal action if they did not back off. They stood down. Marriott still had not refunded my money. So I continued to pursue a refund from Marriott. They were unapologetic for stealing my money, unapologetic for referring me to the collection agents, and unwilling to refund the money despite the undisputed fact that they had cashed my check twice. Just as I was about to file pleadings to initiate a lawsuit to recover the money Marriott came to a settlement with me. They refunded my money and payed me for some of the damages they had inflicted. Although Marriott did end up refunding the money, pursuing the matter entailed a great deal of personal time and risk. I'm my opinion the management of the Marriott Marquis in NYC is incompetent and untrustworthy.”

• The view out our window and the room size.
• The price to park your car.

“My husband and I always enjoy staying here. Its location is wonderful, if you like being in the middle of Times Square. The elevators are simply amazing. The rooms are spotless and the staff was friendly and helpful. We will stay here again.”

“The check in was fast and courteous. The location is perfect. The hotel has large rooms and was very clean. The furnishings were up to date. The only drawbacks are the food and beverage prices, internet access fee and waiting for elevators.”

• The variety of restaurants and lounges.
• The elevators were somewhat confusing at first.

“I'd say we were pleasantly surprised. I knew it was a large, very busy hotel, so didn't really expect it to be so clean and fresh looking. And, the staff couldn't have been more helpful.”
