• The rooms were very clean and up to date, beds comfy and, the location was perfect.
• There is no swimming pool.

“The hotel was perfect for the weekend we had planned. The service was great, the hotel was very nice inside. We didn't have a chance to visit any of the restaurant but they did appear to be very nice. We stayed on the 39th floor and I must say that the time on the elevators wasn't much at all. They were faster then any I had ever used before. Although we had a standard room we still had a view of Times Square. I would recommend a stay at this hotel to any of my friends or family. I know the next time we travel to NYC this is certainly where we'll be staying.”

• Great location, spacious and good room, and helpful staff.
• Nothing to complain about.

“Being on the 26th floor in the heart of time square was an exhilarating experience for my 14 yr old and me. The bank of elevators with external key pad for floor entries and the atrium were a thrill for friends who visited us. But the line for the elevator for the view on the 48th floor were a tad too long.”

• Location, friendly service, very accommodating employees.
• Lunch at The View was a bit disappointing. The nachos were soggy.

• Elevator experience so awful I would never stay at Marriott again.

“The food was bad and overpriced. The elevators were awful. We waited for a minimum of half hour frequently over a four day stay. We were told help was coming and never came. This experience was repeated. Manager was no help. Food was lousy and expensive.”

• Staff very helpful. Clean rooms. I booked a king room and stayed in a suite!
• Registration on 8th floor. Street Noise below.

• The location of the hotel was perfect for our needs. The room was spacious and well appointed.
• There was nothing to dislike.

“Excellent location for dining and theaters. Never had to wait for an elevator. The staff was very attentive. The room was spacious and well appointed - Everything was done well.”

• Convenient.
• 10th floor looked like a zoo.

“Stayed at the 10th floor where the Hotel has placed very ugly nets to guard against objects being tossed down the atrium or to avoid suicidal attempts. The nets are so ugly that you feel you are in an Hotel under construction. Also the toilets were not working properly.”

• Bellhop location/organization was abysmal.

“The rooms were large and well appointed and for NYC. I requested a quiet room on a high floor and I got precisely that. My only complaint about the room was the exceptionally weak water pressure in the shower.”

• Very nice hotel, conveniently located in Times Square.
• Hotel did not have free WiFi which is usual for most hotels.

“My wife and I were very happy with this facility. It is right in the heart of Times Square (which is great for the Broadway shows). It is also within walking distance of numerous things and is coated right near a number of Subway lines (in case you don't want to walk).”

• Food and drinks are too expensive.

“Although the hotel is not new, it is very well kept. The location is great and the staff are very willing to answer any questions and be very helpful. The best thing is the staff's great attitude!”

• The location in Time Square was excellent.
• The noise from the lobby and restaurants could be heard in our room.

“Great location. Great price. The employees were courteous. It was a little noisy at night, both coming from the outside and up from the hotel restaurant and lobby. However, for being directly on Time Square, I wasn't surprised by a little noise. And, there was a wall in the room that blocked most of the noise from inside the hotel.”

“If you like the craziness of a hotel in Times Square, the Marriott Marquis is a great choice. The rooms are well-appointed; the staff is helpful; and the views of Times Square are the best with a minimum of noise.”

• The Lounge/View Restaurant is a MUST SEE at night.
• The elevator system is very cool but can be confusing to a newbie.

“My all time favorite hotel so far. In the past, I had liked The Crown Plaza in Time Square the best, but The Marriott Marquis was just incredible from top to bottom. I stayed for 2 nights and did not have enough time to see all of the inside of the hotel . . .I almost didnt want to come out of my room on the 42nd floor. it was just incredible!.”

• The bedding was luxurious and comfortable!
• I wanted 2 nights and could not get the 2nd night.

“This hotel is close to everything in Times Square. The room was clean and the bedding was extra comfy. I would stay here again anytime. I did not eat at the restaurant The View, but spent time in the restaurants on the 8th floor. It was very relaxing.”

• Slightly confusing entrance on street level with lobby on 7th floor.

“I love this hotel! The ambiance is excellent, the elevator rides are just plain fun and the rooms are spacious, well appointed and excellently maintained. I've told this to at least a dozen people because quality matters.”

• The staff went out of their way to help me get a thermometer when I was sick.
• Parking was too expensive and I was double billed. The front desk did remove the second charge.

• The water was booby trapped to charge if it moved.

“The Marriott Marquis is a nice hotel that is the closest location for Times Square. However, if you don't reserve a room that overlooks Times Square for new years eve you may as well stay some where cheaper because you will still have to wait 7 hours to see the ball drop. Security was complete with dogs sniffing and all types of police. Marriott soaks their guest for every thing-example on the Armoire in the room The two size waters were sitting on a wired pad.”
