• I was very impressed with the staff. They made my trip!
• It is probably just a difference in taste but, I was not impressed with the decor in the room.

“I would absolutely recommend this hotel to my family and friends. I will be making reservations again very soon! My interaction with the staff was a wonderful experience, from the front desk to the bar man to security everyone was pleasant.”

• The staff was friendly but did not interact unless asked a question. They were efficient.
• The concierge gave us wrong Subway directions to the museum and was somewhat brusque but this was the only person like that.

“The hotel is clearly geared towards business stays but we still had a great time. It is one block down from the Center of Times Square and was perfectly located to walk to all kinds of stores, cultural sites and major TV businesses! We'd do it again in a heartbeat.”

• Walking distance to Port Authority Terminal and Penn Station.
• Not my favorite neighborhood, but it is still very convenient.

• Welcoming nature of staff.
• Checkout at front desk required versus receiving bill under door.

“The Westin provided a comfortable, well-appointed room and helpful staff. The location was convenient to all mid-town activities.”

• Brand not much more.
• Pretty much everything other than the brand.

“Was expecting a lot more from Westin! They took over 30 mins to get my luggage to the room, executive club lounge was dark and tired, and breakfast was not impressive either! Paper Starbucks coffee cups in the room and they charge you extra for the gym! Not very impressed..”

• The bedding and mattress was fantastic. Clean and comfortable!
• Nothing.

“Although the room was small, it was very clean and comfortable. The bed and bedding were fantastic. Bathroom was surprisingly large and very clean. Location to the Theater District, Time Square and subway was perfect. Great dinning around every corner.”

• Location.
• Very impersonal. Bed sheet had a large worn tear. Should not happen in a 4* hotel.

“On checking in noted the safe was locked. Called and were told someone would be right up. Waited 30 mins and had to leave. Next day called again and someone came soon. Told him the mini frig was not working not cold at all. He told us to call someone else. In a 4* hotel (or anywhere with good service) he should have taken care of it by making the call himself. That and the bed sheet were shocking for a Westin.”

• The room was very clean, upscale & roomy.
• Parking fee of $48.00 per day.

“Excellent location in Times Square area. The room was very roomy, comfortable, clean with all the modern amenities. I would recommend this hotel if you are planning a trip to NYC.”

• Couldn't have been happier.

“My hotel was centrally located in mid-town Manhattan. The room was spacious, well-laid out. Staff was super helpful. Would highly recommend this property whether staying for business or pleasure.”

• Cabs are hard to get.

“The hotel staff was very helpful. I would highly recommend this location it is walking distance from just about anything. It is also just far enough away from Broadway and 7th Ave to have privacy.”

• The bed was very comfortable.
• We were charged for local calls.

“We enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the shower head in the shower was awesome! The only thing we didn't like was that we were charged for locals phone calls.”

• Housekeeping service was wonderful. Bed was comfy.
• The staff!

“The staff treated us as if we were homeless staying in a shelter. There was no 4 star treatments at all except from the housekeeping staff. Bellman was horrible! I tipped the bellman $5.00 to store my 5 bags when I checked out & when I picked them up they were filthy dirty as if they had been dropped all over the floor.”

• The bed were very comfortable, the bathroom as very cool!
• Check-in wasn't as smooth as we would have liked it. Also, most other hotels really cater to runners with fruit and water as well as small towels.

“Nothing beats the Westin's comfortable beds and the general attempt to seem more like an upscale boutique hotel.”

• Lack of parking, expensive off site parking.

“Solid 4 star hotel, great location - a block away from Times Square. Our rooms was very nice - good size, the bed, pillows and bedding were very upscale, the bathroom was very nice, overall a very good experience - would recommend to others!”

• Hotel is well-appointed, with very helpful service staff.
• No longer any free wireless internet in lobby areas as once before.

“This hotel lives up to its 4-Star rating. The staff is always courteous and professional. The rooms and common areas are well-maintained. It is everything that you should expect from a Hotel with the Westin name. Great Location, right on the corner of 43rd St. and 8th Ave, just in the middle of the Times Square action. Great Experience!”
