• The size of the rooms and the fact there is a pool.
• finding a rodent in our room and the dreadful customer service

“The room was big, but we found that we were sharing it with a mouse. We were moved to another room in a different part of the hotel which was tatty and had older fixtures and fittings and wasn't overly clean. There were cigarette burns in the carpet and after a few days, I was almost driven to ask for the vacuum myself. The staff were unwelcoming, unhelpful, and unfriendly from the word go, that was at their best, at their worst they were rude to people paying for the dubious pleasure of staying there. There seemed to be lots of coach parties staying for very short amounts of time, this involved lots of door slamming, running up and down and crashing into not very thick walls. The key cards stopped working roughly every other day despite the fact we were booked in for over 2 weeks. We have never had such a bad experience at a hotel and have stayed in New York twice before. The area wasn't great either, there were a high number of drug addicts and drunks around nearby and we saw gangs intimidating people on 2 occasions. On the plus side, it was near enough to Times Square to walk in about 12 to 15 minutes or jog in 10. I would not stay at this poor excuse for a hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone.”

• Good location, nice staff, parking on site.
• The air conditioner didn't work well and the shower head was coming out of the wall.

“I would go back and stay there again because of the on site parking. That was great and the price to park there was $10. However, we were then charged an additional $10 due to the size of our car.”

• Good location.
• If this hotel wasn't in NYC there's no way it'd be worth the money. A little outdated, but clean.

“This is a nice hotel, good location. It's a little outdated, and things could stand to be updated a bit. There was no bathtub in our room only a stand up shower, wall paper was peeling on the walls. Most of the staff was friendly but a few were very rude. Over all it's a good hotel in a good location in NYC, though the price might be a little much for what it is.”

• Good walking neighborhood.
• No coffee pot, no alarm clock.
