“Being in town for a seminar in Time Square, this was a convenient and cheap hotel to stay at. Where there was a train close by, and odd smell in the building and cramped rooms, it was satisfying enough for my needs. I was happy staying there, especially for the price.”

“This is a recently renovated hotel. It's clean and well-maintained. It best suits business travelers looking for a convenient location in NY. The surrounding area is under renovation/construction right now (Oct 2009) and when finished it will surely add lusted to this hotel with an improved location. The room I stayed was very small, but had all the fundamentals. It was very clean, and the bathroom was in excellent condition.”

“This is a convenient and economical New York hotel for someone who intends to spend a lot of time at Javits Center. It's clean and comfortable, and offers a free continental breakfast. That event was very crowded, so much so that I went elsewhere to eat. The hotel is built over railroad tracks; however the trains did not wake me up, even though I was on a lower floor.”

“Fine for the one night that we needed a place to stay in Midtown, but not comfortable in any sense of the word.”

“Overall, I found this hotel to be a great option for those business travellers who wish to stay at both a comfortable hotel, and have quick and easy access to entertainment options.”

“The hotel was tucked neatly into the area next to a taxi repair company and the horse drawn carriage stables, making for a wonderful mix of big city and working farm. The proximity to local attractions and transportation channels made for very interesting bi-ped travels. As I accidentally tried to walk to Jersey through the Lincoln Tunnel on my way to my hotel from Times Square after grabbing a slice of Pizza from Ray's.”

“The hotel is in an industrial area - far from any signs of civilization. There is no access to public transportation without a 15-20 minute walk. The room was small. The bed was two twins side-by-side, and I fell through the middle during the night. The TV had static on half the channels showing. The WiFi did not work most of the time. Very few towels provided, close to no amenities (soaps etc) provided. This is a truly budget hotel, no more than 1 star. I would not stay here again.”

“This hotel was well situated in Manhattan close to Port Authority. The hotel is showing signs of aging and poor upkeep. The fire alarm was going off the first day every ten minutes and interfering with the elevator. The room was very basic and small. Curtains did not close and were not functional so we were unable to close them. The heater was electric and was switched off every daily by housekeeping while we were away, resulting in a frigid room upon our return every evening. The continental breakfast was very basic and unsatisfying. The hotel management did not restock items as the ran out and removed food promptly as 10am approached. There was one toaster for the entire hotel! They should reconsider the continental breakfast.”

“Good for a quick trip and a cheap place to stay in NYC. Most attractions could easily and safely be walked to. We only paid $30 for parking for the 25 hours we were there. Don't expect luxury, just necessities!”

“For the budget conscience traveler, the Best Western across from the convention center is a viable alternative to other more expensive choices nearby. Don't expect much beyond a small clean room and cheap offerings for breakfast.

“Price was good. Bed was too big compared the space in the room. Good to have safe for free. Furniture in thel hotel are very poor. Found bugs on my bed.

“I would not recommend this hotel. Its location, although in mid-town NYC is not very convenient and the area is not at all nice since it is between 10th and 11th avenues. Our room did not look clean; especially the comforter/pillows. We forgot something in our room and the staff was not at all helpful about it. This is my first disappointing experience.”

“Small room. On west side of Manhattan near Highway. 9A, so it is easy to get to/from, if driving from/to up-state New York. A decent less expensive hotel for business travelers, but cabs recommended, and you must walk a couple of blocks to hail one. Parking is in a commercial lot 3-4 blocks from the hotel. My room had a 24-hour car repair shop outside the window, but with the window A/C running, I was able to sleep ok.”

“Hotel was good, only a couple of blocks away from subway and from Times Square. Located close to many restaurants and shops. There is a Hell's Kitchen Flea Market on Sunday mornings only 1 block north of the hotel.”

“Regarding the price, the hotel was a good choice, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was included and okay. The breakfast room was not very comfortable or cozy though! The location was for me perfect, close to Time Square and Metro Stops. What I didn't like is the construction site and the repair shop across the road. everything else is fine if you are not looking for a honeymoon atmosphere but a clean place to stay.”
