  • Price.
  • Hotel staff was rude.

“I'm allergic to down pillows and it took two tries to get one hypo-allergenic pillow, during which the person was rude. The location is not in Soho, it's just outside in what is more likely Chinatown. The room was small, but clean about what you can expect for the price in NYC. If it wasn't for the hotel staff, it would have been fine.”

“Typical nice Holiday Inn very close to Chinatown, Little Italy, and SoHo.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[6] • Location:[4]

  • Helpful staff.
  • The beds were unbelievably uncomfortable, way too soft.

“I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you're sure you want Chinatown. The rooms were very small and the mattresses were painfully soft.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[8] • Location:[8]

  • Excellent location, close to Little Italy and Chinatown.
  • Small rooms, no lunch or dinner options.

“Perfect location if you want to site see in NYC. Close to trains, Little Italy and Chinatown. Rooms are very small but tidy. Great hotel if you are just looking for a clean, respectable place to sleep and spend your days site seeing, shopping, etc.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[8] • Location:[7]

  • The check-in woman was very friendly and cordial.
  • The key to the room did not work at one point.

“This reasonable hotel is conveniently situated in downtown NYC. It has all the reasonable amenities that a business traveler could need. There are no special luxuries or a pool or things that a family on holiday might want. This is a very comfortable basic hotel.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[7] • Location:[7]

  • The room was exceptionally clean and well made.

“Staying at this hotel was a good experience, everything was neat and clean. It is not a exceptionally beautiful hotel, but it is not horrible. I would stay here again.”

  • There was nothing I liked about this hotel.
  • 2 in 1 shampoo, dirty walls in room.

“I have stayed in many 3 and 4 star hotels for business in NYC and this is not a 3 star hotel.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[8] • Location:[7]

  • The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable.

“The hotel said they could not guarantee room type. The first night one of the group had to sleep on the floor. The next day they found a room with two beds. The location was away from the hassle of midtown between Chinatown and Little Italy with a lot of neat places to eat, and a lot of counter fit watches and purses for sale. Fun trip.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Great location, excellent staff and facilities, great value.
  • Old TVs, small rooms.

“This hotel is located close to the Canal ST Station and is a great location and value in the city. I highly recommend.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[5] • Location:[9]

  • Location was great.
  • Rooms were small with very few amenities.

“This hotel is walking distance from everything south of midtown. It is in China town, but just 2 blocks from the trendy part of Soho. The bed is comfortable and clean, but that is all you will get.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Friendliness and helpfulness of the bellman far exceeded my expectations.
  • Room was a little smaller than I would have liked but it was NYC.

“Friendly, helpful bellman. Very clean rooms.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[10] • Location:[6]

  • Close to Subway station, and too little Italy. Can get to most places in the city within a half hour. Service at this hotel was extremely good.
  • The area outside the hotel is a little rough being on the edge of china town.

“For the most part I really enjoyed my stay there. The area outside is a little rough. On the edge of Chinatown, with merchants selling bags, cologne, umbrellas and touristy things. However, it's a half block of that and you were on the subway, and could reach most areas in the city in a half hour. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. They went out of their way on more than a couple of occasions, and were extremely friendly. Not what you would expect from a hotel in NYC. The room was nice, but small. Everything was clean. The wireless internet connection was a little weak, but other than that I really enjoyed my stay here and would stay again.”

  • Its China Town location is a big plus.

  • Location.
  • There were bed bugs, which made me think the place must be very unclean.

“I liked the hotel location and public spaces, but I had bites after sleeping.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • Location is great for touring on foot. Great down pillows and bed linens!
  • Restaurant food could be better. Coffee was a poor quality.

“I would stay here again. Instead of ordering breakfast at hotel I would walk two blocks to the Starbucks. Then pick up some fresh fruit at the sidewalk vendors.”
