“Great location and beautiful hotel. Very sleek. Was quite happy with the stay overall. It was a very disappointing start to an otherwise great stay. They offered a bottle of wine but neither of us drink, a fruit plate didn't seem appropriate. Excellent housekeeping and the pool can't be beat!”

“This is a great hotel for those interested in staying in the trendy Meat Packing District. It is only a quick walk to the West Village and a number of historic and highly recommended bars, restaurants and shops. It is worth the money.”

“By far the worst customer service ever. It started with a rude front desk person, who snapped at us when we were simply asking questions about the hotel. Sorry, I didn't know that was such a sensitive subject. They were surprisingly slow with basic services, like taking luggage to our rooms and valet parking. Sorry, I didn't know that was such a difficult task. The wait staff on the rooftop bar was icy and disinterested in being helpful. Sorry, I thought they might want to do their job. On top of all of this, the client was extraordinarily rude. I was openly mocked on the elevator twice, including one girl, who huffed and sneered at me. I'm sorry my existence offended her. And another time, when my girlfriend's father got on the elevator, a guy says to him "this is a very hip hotel. Looks like you didn't get the message." In conclusion, a nice-looking hotel, but clearly a hangout for miserable elitists. I'm sure there are plenty of other expensive $$$ hotels that know at least a tiny bit about basic customer service. ” 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.

“If you're looking for a good, hip time in NYC, this is the perfect hotel. It's in a great location for shopping and eating at trendy places you read about in People, Us, etc., and you're likely to spot some hip celebrities. The rooftop bar is amazing, and you may be lucky enough to get into the new NYC it bar "G-Spa" located downstairs. The hotel staff could not be more friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and hip, and there is sufficient space compared to most NYC hotels. I would definitely recommend it to those tourists who normally stay in the Times Square area and are looking for a different perspective of NYC.” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.Amenities at Hotel Gansevoort, New York City
