• Very clean.
• Very small room.

“Hotel is very clean and well appointed. Rooms are very small and only meant to accommodate two people. Staff was just ok - not very helpful.”

• I loved the price and great this hotel is for that price.
• There is really nothing to see in the financial district but you can get a cab to go sight seeing and shopping.

“I recently stayed at this hotel and it was very surprising to find such a great rate at such a great place. The staff was very friendly and always courteous. The room was bigger than I thought and was very clean. They had 2 computers for guests to use down close to the lobby. One was out of commission when I got there but the other was working fine and was very convenient. They have a 30 minute limit which is very good that way you won't have to wait long in case you needed to use it. There wasn't much to see around the fin. District but we walked 2 blocks to get a taxi (they do not call cabs, only car service) as there never seems to be any that go by that hotel and it is about $12-15 dollars for the taxi to take you to Time Square. Last time I stayed at the Westin hotel in times square and it was very noisy even though we were up high in a club room. The Club Quarters hotel is so quiet at night, I loved it! I could actually sleep! There was no construction, no noisy people, no anything to keep me awake, thank goodness! I very much enjoyed my stay. They also have a binder which has several restaurants, one was a 24 hour deli on Water St. which has some awesome hamburgers and fries, and they also serve sandwiches and have a ton of bakery items. This is a good place in case you get hungry in the middle of the night although it's like 7 blocks away, but it's worth it.”

• Felt like staying in a prison cell with fancy wall coverings.

“Aside from its great location, the hotel lacked any charm or class, a far cry from a typical 3 star hotel as it was advertised. The room was small and cramped, with just enough room to squeeze between the bed and your suit case. The closet was conveniently converted into a bathroom, while an Ikea style wardrobe substituted for the closet. The bed was sub par, and unless you enjoy the feeling of coil springs jutting into your back, the floor would provide a more comfortable nights rest. Need an extra blanket? Don't call the front desk, instead a "guest request closet" located in the hallway is supposed to have just what you need, but did not. One feature I did find quite convenient is that you could request an exercise bike be delivered to your room as an alternate to the fitness center. However, it would take a miracle of science and engineering to fit a stationary bike in the room. The overall problem is that a 3 star hotel is advertised, but a 2 star experience is what you get.”

“I will never stay at this hotel. Staff broke into our room and searched our bags and provided no reasonable excuse for doing so. They declined a package, twice, that carried two ball tickets for us. The only reason we traveled to NYC for the weekend. I have now contacted NYC police to lodge a formal complaint against the hotel. Overall, one of the worst experiences I have ever had traveling.”

• Location was surprisingly good. Room decor was distinctive.
• No issues.

• Not much activity going on nearby on weekends.

• Clean, contemporary, quiet location.
• Bathroom was pretty small, not a lot of space to put clothes, etc but it is NY!

“Hotel is in the financial district which means the area is extremely quiet at night and during weekends. The hotel was very lovely, modern, comfortable, upscale, but the rooms are a bit small. However, we were offered an upgrade for both nights at a small fee that room was amazing! The hotel is close to all great areas & Subway. Staff was helpful and courteous. We will definitely stay there again!”

• Hallways smelled terrible.

“Not a great location (hard for even cabs to find). Small rooms. No bathrooms in the lobby. Not sure this is a 3-Star hotel.”

• Free High Speed Internet throughout the hotel.
• Shortage of amenities in the bathrooms.

“Very good location near Wall St and the south side seaport shops. Also close to the subway and certainly quiet at the weekends.”

• Location convenient; common facilities, computer, etc. a nice touch.
• Misinformed staff, coffee in lounge doesn't begin early enough, very dark rooms, needs more light fixtures.

“This is a place you could consider staying on business (close to subways, wall street), but it's very dark, even by NYC standards; in addition, a few amenities, such as in-room mini-bars and better coffee/refreshment service in the lounge would make a big difference. The staff is friendly and polite, but not terribly well-informed: I wasted 20 minutes waiting for a.m. hot water because no one knew that Con Ed had failed to restart hot water service on time; I was misdirected away from the Wall St. subway station, and there was no restaurant or bar or room service the weekend I was there.”

• The bed sheets were torn - no, make that shredded and staff were reluctant to change it for us.

“Do not stay at this hotel. The bed sheets were ragged and torn and staff had to be coerced to change it for us. Staff on night shift are down-right rude. After our departure, The area is dead and uninteresting on the weekend.”

• Convenience to subway and other sites.
• Rooms were small and cramped; noise from hallway could be heard in room.

“This hotel is good for business travelers, not great for leisure travel. I felt it was very basic with small rooms; however the rooms had comfortable beds. The noise from the hallway (and room next door) could easily be heard and I was woken up from people coming in late even though they were not overly loud. The bathroom needed updating.”

• Very hard to get to. Directions from website are inaccurate. Nothing to do at night.

• Good location, quiet, free internet.
• Very small bed, sparsely furnished room.

“The place is ok. Excellent Downtown location on a quiet street, so there was very little ambient noise. The queen bed was tiny, more suitable for one than two persons. The room was acceptable with very little closet space; the furnishings were borderline but still acceptable. The bath was very compact with only a shower. The free wireless internet was a nice bonus touch.”

“The hotel was clean and efficient. Nothing spectacular, perfect for a business traveler looking to stay in the financial area of the city. Not convenient to the theater district.”

• Great location next to subway.
• Room was very small and Spartan, no bathtub, minimal amenities.

“It is a small, conveniently located hotel suited to travelers who will spend minimal amounts of time at the hotel or in the room. Air conditioner in room was old and loud, bathroom had limited toiletries, no bathtub. Queen sized bed was two small narrow twins pushed together with a large gap between the mattresses.”

• Over the weekend they didn't replenish supplies and the only ice machine in the whole hotel broke and wasn't fixed.

“The hotel rooms were small but clean and comfortable. They had a hair dryer, coffee machine, iron etc. However there wasn't a fridge. I stayed with a friend and requested 2 beds rather than one and they were happy to oblige us with this. I would recommend it to anyone that wanted a hotel in Manhattan to sleep in, if you want to hang out in the room though you may want to find somewhere bigger.”
