  • Amenities, service, check in efficient, good concierge.
  • Baggage check slow, shower power weak, location.

“Conveniently located in downtown near subway, great amenities, efficient service, near ground zero and it's macabre tourists.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Limited number of rooms per floor, had a small feel for a large hotel.
  • Construction noise, not too bad but be warned you are in the middle of all the construction at the World Trade Center.

“Great hotel, nice staff, the rooms are typical NYC size, difficult to have more then 2 people in the room. Nice amenities, bedding, large flat screen TV, bathroom etc. Location great, 1/2 block to 3 major subway lines at the Path Train to NJ, both offer very cheap and easy access to JFK and Newark airports. Since you are in the Wall Street Area and financial district, it is pretty shut down at night, however Times SQ is just 3 stops away on the express 2/3 Subway line.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[10] • Location:[9]

  • Staff went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating.
  • Although room was positively clean, large and great linens - it was not well appointed, i.e.

“Overall great atmosphere friendly, clean, large room for NYC. Absolutely no pictures on the walls, but new carpet, great linens, spotless! Great service! Near my entire key shopping areas.”

  • Center of activity.
  • Construction noise.

“I liked overall class of operation; parking is expensive, front desk people as good as concierge. House staff prompts. We liked everything.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[5] • Location:[7]

  • Large rooms for NYC, clean, modern.
  • Construction surrounding the entire hotel.

“Very nice property with clean, updated rooms with modern finishes. Highly recommended for business travelers working in the Financial District.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[3]

  • Friendly, clean.
  • Ground zero construction going on for the next 5 years. All were respectful about it but a certain mayhem ensues on the street level.

“I would recommend staying at the Millennium Hilton. Perhaps the most significant fact for me was the fact that one looks over ground zero. This is rather powerful.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[4] • Location:[8]

  • It was very clean & well appointed; good location for visiting Tribeca, the Financial District, & the Village.
  • I left my purse in the bar, the purse was returned by a hotel employee but a large sum of cash was missing. The incident was not handled well.

“The hotel was very clean & well appointed. We liked the location. The concierge was wonderful and recommended a great Italian restaurant, Echo, within walking distance. The front desk staff were disappointing. Not knowledgeable at all. I left my purse in the bar, it was found & picked up immediately by a staff member. However, they never advised me that they found the purse. I had to call them to recover it. A large sum of cash was missing & it was never recovered. They actually had the employee on film taking the purse out of the bar. It was subsequently turned in to the lost & found. The Director of Security was supposed to call me, I waited 3 days & called the hotel. I finally spoke to someone that was helpful.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • The rooms were spacious, beautiful & with a fantastic view.
  • The hotel restaurant had an odor about that comes from unseemliness in the back.

“Overlooking grand zero, a bunch of construction of course! Wonderful location for sightseeing in the Downtown Financial District.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[8] • Location:[3]

  • Great view of the city from our hotel room!
  • Bathrooms in the lobby were surprisingly dirty.

“Although we did ask for a roll-away bed, the hotel was unable to accommodate this request due to the fact that the room was so small, and a roll-away wouldn't even fit in the room.”

Staff:[8] • Location:[7]

  • Rooms nice, view excellent (51st floor).
  • Could hear the elevator shaft.

“At first I was hesitant due to the location (beside ground zero) but then I realized allot of NY was under construction. Location was okay, close to subway and Tribeca (everything within walking distance). View on 51st floor, overlooking Brooklyn bridge was great. Overall good time.”

  • Fine views from the high floors.
  • Asked concierge for a Zagat's restaurant guide; he told me to buy one.

“Perfectly adequate, though not luxury. Cheaply made modern building. $24 buffet breakfast. Good views.”

  • Comfortable, tastefully decorated room, beautiful views.
  • Charging for internet access.

“A surprisingly quiet (at least on weekends) and lovely oasis in the midst of Ground Zero reconstruction site. Large, thoughtfully appointed rooms. Very good service, but better restaurant values are available elsewhere in the neighborhood.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[8]

  • Nice bed and a good view.
  • A little noise from world trade center construction. I couldn't use the pool because they were shooting a movie - it looked over chlorinated anyways.

“Great business quality hotel with good Downtown location. Easy access to Subway and lots of cabs out front. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Couldn't get the internet connection to work - wish they had wireless.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[5] • Location:[2]

  • Not much as I was there for my birthday. Would have been good for business.
  • In the middle of a construction zone. Typical Hilton.

“This is not a 4 star hotel, 3 at most.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • The rooms are very spacious!
  • Construction noises!

“Ground Zero site is across the street from hotel so work began early and went late into the night. I had a room on 35th floor facing the construction site and while it wasn't awful. It wasn't how I wanted to be woken up each morning. The hotel offers ear plugs and sound machines to help which was wonderful. I'm sure rooms facing Brooklyn were quieter if you are sensitive. Plus - it is NYC so getting up early isn't out of the question - there's so much to see and do!”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[9] • Location:[10]

  • Everything was excellent except when we first booked the room and I called because I needed a non smoking room with 2 double beds.
  • The initial contact I had with the hotel via phone to ask if my room could be non smoking and 2 beds. She was beyond rude!

“Hotel was beautiful. Very convenient to Subway. Ground zero right outside the front door. Staff was courteous. Room was spacious and clean. Nice amenities. Parking was very pricey, beware!”
