“This hotel was not a 3 star quality. We were very disappointed.”

“Hotel was in a nice location. Staff was helpful with check in. Room was a mini suite and had a small kitchen which was useful. Just stayed one night, so I didn't check out restaurant or workout areas. Overall, a good experience. I would stay there again.”

“Great staff. We were upgraded with no questions asked when our AC didn't work.”

“We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. It was nice and very convenient especially with all the amenities provided. I recommend taking a cab from JFK to the hotel if you have a lot of luggage. My husband and I had taken the Subway and walked aprox 4 blocks with our carry-ons. It wasn't so bad, but a cab is definitely needed if your not into walking and hauling large pieces of luggage around partially crowded streets. The staff was excellent. My only concern was about the carpet in our suite. It was tattered and looked like it needed to be replaced. Everything else was great.”

“It was everything we wanted and more. The staff was very helpful with everything from directions to making arrangements for a car to the airport. When asking for must sees, and fun things to do, or places to eat the staff gave us great suggestions. The bar and restaurant at the top of the hotel was great. There was a great vibe through out.”

“This was a very nice hotel in a safe location. The Subway was a short walk and cabs were very easy to catch. The reception desk and bellmen were incredibly friendly and attentive. There were many restaurants within walking distance and Times Square/Rockefeller Center/St. Patrick's Cathedral was a short walk. I would stay here again.”

“This hotel hasn't been updated since may be the 50"s. And our room had 2 twin beds. Very old and not functional. I couldn't sleep in the same bed with my husband because the beds were twin size beds. Also the TV was very old and the picture on it was fuzzy and we wanted to watch an NBA playoff game and we were unable to because the hotel didn't have the channel TNT. They also couldn't tell us where we could go to watch it. We had to wait a long time to check in and they we not friendly at all.”

“First off the good, like everyone has said great for travelers, ample room! Plenty of closets, our room had 1.5 baths which were the nicest part of the room, a balcony which had a great view, living room dining room combo and separate kitchen (full kitchen, microwave, stove, dishwasher, fridge). Has the feel of a small apartment. Wood furnishing gives room historical feel which is nice. The bad is very outdated, green carpeting in rooms needs to go, appliances in kitchen from the 80's! Overall, for the price you pay this place it's a steal, don't forget its a 3 star hotel and one of the best values at its level for all the room you get! This place was a 4 star plus hotel about 15-20 years ago which shows when you look at the TV!”

“Hotel overall was decent and clean. I think they put us in the room with only a double bed for two people, it was very uncomfortable cheap, bouncy bed. The blankets were rubbery and smelled like cigarette smoke. Everything else was ok, microwave and fridge in room were nice. If they upgraded their bed and linens, I would give them an additional star on the rating.”

“Very close to the United Nations and good for sight seeing on Upper East Side. We were two friends traveling together who wanted separate beds. The manager up- graded us to a larger suite with a sofa bed which suited us fine. Kitchen facilities and a good supermarket a couple of blocks away allowed us to make breakfast and simple evening meals. We ate a good restaurant lunch out each day. A very enjoyable stay.”

“The rooms were very clean and well equipped. The staff were friendly. The cocktail bar was great and had some great views over the city, overall this is a good hotel and good value for money although breakfast would have been appreciated.”

“The service was good but the hotel is a little out dated. We got an upgrade to a suite that was very nice and very big. The view of New York is great!”

“Convenient to UN and Midtown; in a residential neighborhood roughly a mile to the nearest subway station. Hotel was somewhat down-at-heel. While the room was decent sized, furnishings were circa 1970s, as were the threadbare, stained sheets. Listing as a three-star hotel very misleading.”

“Refurbished art deco. Convenient to Lexington Ave. subway. Nice for walking 1st and 2d avenues. No frills. Low key.”

“The hotel was great. I am a New Yorker and I didn't know it existed. My lover and I were impressed by the size of the room and the overall cleanliness of the room. I would definitely stay there again. It was great because it was in Midtown but away from the busy Times Square tourist foot traffic.”

“I had to wait a little while to get into my room, as they only had one person working the front desk and to answer the phone, etc. Because of my wait, I was given a free upgrade to a suite. However, my room was frigid! The hotel is clearly very old, with an old, inefficient heating system. And the room had old carpeting, old furniture/appliances, and kind of musty-smelling. That being said, the staff was very friendly and helpful.” Amenities at Beekman Tower Hotel, New York City
