• Price, location, closeness to restaurants and shopping.
• Could not pull drapes over sheers, consequently light from outside shone in all night long.

“Clean, nice DVD film library to access, rather sparse, beds could have been larger for two, needs to install drapes that can be pulled and shut over sheers, close to restaurants and shopping, and easy access to major roads.”

• No change of linen for one week and no room cleaning daily.

“It was very close to my desired point of meeting which I attended for 3 days and it was a quiet very well spaced hotel location with near by shopping convenience.”

• In-room kitchenette is always nice.
• King size bed would have been nice.

“Excellent business-style hotel, offering mostly the types of amenities that would interest such travelers. Close to shopping and both the I-87 and Palisades Parkway freeways for easy access. Commuter railroad is right behind the hotel, and while I didn't think passing trains were very disruptive, they do make their presence known. There are, however, no trains late at night.”

• Great value for overall quality and convenience of the hotel and the suite room.
• The rooms are only cleaned by a maid once a week.

“The hotel is a relatively new Candlewood Suites, located in Downtown Nanuet, NY and is very convenient to all major regional highways north and south to NYC and NJ. Suite rooms are good size and have refrigerators, microwaves, stovetops, coffeemakers, new TVs, nice desks with HSIP, and large comfortable beds. There is noise 24/7 on an hourly basis from a commuter train that passes very close to the rear of the hotel. I wish that the onsite grocery stocked a greater variety of items since the hotel rooms offer amenities for small meal preparations. The onsite gym is small; no complimentary breakfast or coffee- you must prepare your own in your room; maids only clean the rooms on a weekly basis but fresh sheets & towels are readily available. Overall, still a great value.”

• It was close to i-287 and near stores/restaurants.
• No heat.

“Don't stay here if you want air conditioning or heating. I stayed here for the first and last time in February of 2008. What a surprise to learn that the hotel has installed "energy efficiency" devices on all of the thermostats in the rooms. As long as you move around the room every 15 minutes, the cooling/heating system will continue to cool and heat. But should you do something like sleep, the heat goes off all night! Needless to say, we were cold! When we informed the staff, we received a shrug. Also, the room carpet was beyond filthy. And there are no ramps to allow you to roll the luggage cart in from the car lot to the entry doors.”

• Nice hotel.
• Poor service, got stuck with 2 men in a room with one bed, would not upgrade.

“Very poor service. They told us they could not upgrade us to a room with 2 beds, The hotel did have the rooms available. Room with 1 bed and charging to upgrade or for a cot.”

• Clean, friendly staff, convenient, dinner on Wednesday, free laundry, work out room.
• Price to high, only queen, provided cot, bad mattress.

• I love the spacious room with full kitchen. Also the bed and pillows.
• No restaurant- no wireless internet; has only wired internet.

“Staff was very friendly. The rooms are large with full kitchens. Extremely comfortable bed with three pillows - all different firmness. Great hotel.”

• The hotel not only met but exceeded my expectations!
• No restaurants on premise.

“I was pleasantly surprised the property offered a little bit of luxury. The staff was so cool! The on premise gymnasium was a nice treat, I loved the VCR/ DVD in each room, along with a selection of free rentals at the front desk - And of course because I was on biz, the in room office and free internet was the icing!”

“This was a great place to stay, it was a great location. The rooms were very clean and I was able to keep food and cook in the room. I have stayed at candlewood suites at other locations, and I have never been disappointed. Will continue to stay there whenever possible.”

• Doesn't have a room with 2 beds. It's not easy to accommodate with 2 children
