“No maid service. Front Desk checked me into a room (and gave me a key) to a room that was occupied. Had to explain this to my kids. There was no toilet paper in the room. When we mentioned this to front desk they shrugged shoulders. We had to go get my own later that day. This is a basic service one star hotels get this right. Room smelled. We had to go buy candles so we could sleep there. Phone didn't work in room - go forbid we had an emergency. Drunks were roaming the halls - people fixing cars in the parking lot. I was with two young children this was a disaster.”

“We arrived after 11pm and were cheerfully welcomed by a very nice young woman. The hotel overall and the rooms were very clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower pressure and temperature were great. There is a small desk with optional hi-speed internet conveniently behind it just above the table level - no crawling under table! There was a 17" or 19" TV, perfectly adequate. There was even a recliner! Also there is stovetop, microwave, toaster, fridge, sink, coffeemaker and coffee, dishes and utensils. Mind you, this is not a deluxe facility, but all the basic amenities are there. Also, only a few miles to through beautiful Rumson to the ocean, Sea Girt, Atlantic Highlands and Sandy Hook. What a beautiful area! I was totally satisfied; in fact, the Red Bank Extended Stay America far exceeded my expectations. We will definitely stay there again.”

“The location was very central to everything that we wanted in a New Jersey vacation. The beaches were one direction and the transportation systems to New York City were the other side. The staff was very friendly and informative about the local area. And the price was great.”

“Nice place, good location for us and like the fact of no room service for our two night stay, no tipping was necessary.”

“I've had better rooms and service in a two bit motel. It's a good place to go if you just want to sleep. With no pool, ice or weight room to do anything it's just a place to sleep. I would not recommend a long stay there. Sorry.”

“I expected Extended Stay America hotels to be a bit nicer than this one was. Basically, it's a no-nonsense hotel room (basic) with a stove/fridge/microwave. The room is nothing special, but if you wanted to make an egg/toast/coffee in the morning it was convenient. I am one who likes to write at the end of the day. There was really no good desk to sit at. I found it lacking in some basic amenities. Only 2 (very flat) pillows. No hair dryer. No DVD player or pay/view movies. No radio. Not enough trash cans. The evening staff consisted of 1 young guy with limited resources. Although the daytime staff (manager?) was nice, polite and helpful. Overall?”

“The hotel was in a convenient location and was quiet. The beds are not the most comfortable but they were fine for one night. The bathroom facilities were powerful with plenty of water pressure.”

“It was okay. My friend has bad allergies and we had to sleep with the AC off because when it was on, he got a horrible cough. He said that he only gets that cough if the filter is really dirty, so I have to assume that it was unclean. Also, we ran out of toilet paper and there was no one around to give us a fresh roll since it was 11:30 and the lobby closes at 11, so we had to use the hotel towels as toilet paper!”

“The hotel it self was ok. But I had some issues at check in, first (minor issue) the front desk clerk was not dressed well, wearing a t-shirt and jeans, no uniform (but he was friendly). Got checked into a dirty room, then when placed in another room it smelled really bad because there was water in the bottom of the fridge and by the smell probably been like that for days. Besides that the room was clean. The hotel staff needs to do a better job of inspecting the rooms before the guest arrive to avoid these problems. I worked in a hotel before and we always went into every unoccupied room to make sure there are no issues. If I could avoid it I will not stay here again.”

“It's scary to stay in a 2 star hotel. You don't know what to expect. I was amazed. It was clean. Large room. Just had to bring my own toiletries and hair dryer.”

“This hotel was below our standards in cleanliness, attractiveness and location. We should have stayed in a roadside motel instead, it would have been a better. The place smelled awful. There was no non-smoking option. The 1 bed was small and had hardly any covers. It also smelled bad. The room was just ugly. No shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom. The only good things were the windows opened and there was a TV. Don't bother staying here! It's a stinky let-down! Not worth the $!”

“2 star hotels do not offer as much as 3 stars do. I think I would prefer to stay in 3 star hotels from now on. More pillows, lotions, hair dryers, lotions etc. For the type of hotel this was, it was fine.”

“I selected this motel for the convenience of Red Bank. The hotel has doors that slam hard all night long. The room was dirty. The sheets and pillowcases had stains. The towels smelled of smoke. I would never recommend this place. I have
