“Overall the Marriot @ Saddle Brook was fine. The upgrade to the hotel was nice looking. Staff was courteous. Food was surprisingly good.”

“The hotel lobby has been under renovation for some time and the makeshift lobby is barely adequate and certainly unappealing. The room was well appointed, quite large and quiet enough. A dirty q tip remained on the floor of the hallway outside our room for our whole stay (around 20 hours). Used dishes also remained in the hallway a long time. The desk staff was mostly inscrutable.”

“It might be fine once the construction is done. Until then, stay clear.”

“The hotel was convenient and staff was very friendly. The hotel restaurant food was very good as was the presentation/quality of room service. The outside of the building needed maintenance in terms of noticeable peeling paint; the room smelled like cigarette smoke despite it as a non smoking room. Price was too high given these issues.”

“The staff was very friendly and made sure my requests were met. It was a short drive to NY city and the room was comfortable and welcoming. I would have liked to have wireless internet access in my room though.”

“I got this hotel at an excellent price $70 per night for two nights when normally it is about $120 per night. I gladly would have paid the normal price. I am a little hesitant, but since I requested a three star or better hotel I felt pretty safe. On the first night I realized I forgot my toothbrush, the front desk gave me a new one for free with a new tube of toothpaste, they are well prepared. The rooms were nice and clean, bed was very comfortable and though they said the internet was $10 per night they did not charge me for it. We stayed in this hotel while visiting Manhattan Thanksgiving weekend since similar hotels in Manhattan were 2 to 4 times more expensive. Despite the holiday we had very little trouble driving into Manhattan and found a parking space within 15 to 20 min on the East side, so in all it took about an hour to drive from the hotel to park in Manhattan ,not bad considering we saved a bundle of cash by not staying downtown. Plus once parked we just road the subway so the car didn't need to be moved again. Only bad thing is, you have to drive after partying in the city, but not a problem for responsible people.”
