• The staff was excellent! Very friendly and professional.
• My television only came in clear at night, during the day it was fuzzy.

“This hotel is good for business travel. The rooms were clean and the staff was so friendly and helpful. It is great that the wireless internet charge is a low one time fee.”

• Cleanliness of room; availability of computer for guest use.
• Location - difficult to find; very complicated to go anywhere from.

“Clean in rooms but messy in some other areas. This was possibly due to a large number of young folks that were there at the time leaving candy wrappers and soda or water bottles everywhere. They also caused a good deal of noise in common areas.”

• Difficult to get to, no breakfast!

“I loved my stay at Homestead. It is literally right across the highway from the Giants Stadium and the IZOD center. The only problems I encountered were that it is almost impossible to get anywhere because there is no such thing as a left turn in NJ and I was very upset that there was no complimentary breakfast in the morning. The only easy way to get food at this hotel was to have it delivered.”

• The room was equipped with a full kitchen.
• The location was right off the highway.

“The location is okay if you have a car but, for those travelers trying to go to New York via public transportation. I suggest staying in New York or by Newark Airport.”

“The hotel was bad very bad. Also, you service was very bad when I called. You all do not know how to provide customer service. I am a director of customer service for a Fortune 10 company and I would be embarrassed if I people treated customers the way I was treated. I will never use you all again.”

• Totally not what I expected. Great!
• Location. It was hard to get to. Too many intricate turns.

“The hotel was great! Not what I expected. The full kitchen was a huge bonus and the location was great, except on getting there from the highway. other than that, I will definitely stay there again.”

• Layout of room and amenities in kitchen were terrific.
• Had a hard time with room key and parking lot gate.

“Located across the highway from giants stadium the studio style room was well equipped big fridge so you can shop and have lots of food in room from snack, dinner and munchies. Just remember room is serviced only once a week, but towels always available from the front desk.”

• The kitchenette was great!
• There are no stores, restaurants or shops anywhere nearby.

“If you are going to any event at the Meadowlands, this is the hotel for you! This one and the Sheraton in East Rutherford are the only two that are really feasible to walk to from the stadium, but you do have to cross over the highway on an on-ramp. The hotel staff will tell you its too dangerous and try to sell you a private taxi service for $20, but don't fall for it! We paid the $20 for the ride there and all it amounted to was two ramps, plus we had to sit in traffic! On the way home, we walked over the ramp past all the taxis stuck in traffic and were back to the hotel in no time. The hotel itself was a little dingy and the hallways smelled really weird, but if you want something cheaper than the Sheraton but want proximity to Meadowlands, it's not bad.”

• Very confusing to get to. No continental breakfast!

“The hotel was mediocre at best. There was no continental breakfast. They only serviced our room once during our 6 day stay.”

• Dirty room, carpeting full of animal hair. Utensils with caked food from previous person in the room.

• Refrigerator and kitchen - wireless internet worth $5 bucks a stay.
• Not much - was what I expected of this star level.

“Great place for business travelers. Stove, microwave and 3/4 size fridge. Wireless access for $5 bucks a stay is worthwhile and worked well. An excellent value in the ninja area and close enough to Manhattan to be a viable place for trips to nick if you don't need to stay in the city.”

• The location is close and convenient to Manhattan at far below Manhattan prices.
• Despite being mere minutes from Manhattan, this hotel is in the middle of nowhere.

“Utilitarian lodgings for the business traveler with a rental car. Public transportation, restaurants and stores are a five minute drive away. Did I mention that you MUST have a car? It also irritated my pet peeve about hotels with its threadbare, stained ancient bedding.”

• Large Refrigerator in room.
• The hotel did not provide rooms to accommodate children. Single queen bed forced children to sleep on the floor.

“The Homestead Studio Suites is not a place to stay if you are traveling with children. The rooms are small and there were no amenities offered (no pool, no restaurant, and no continental breakfast). It was just plain and simple a place to sleep. The front desk was almost always left unattended during the evening. When I required blankets and pillows to make a bed on the floor I had to go hunting for them. Again I would not recommend this hotel.”
