  • Nothing. I would not stay at this hotel again.
  • Absolutely a very low key place to stay with family in terms of cleanliness.

“I had high expectations taking my family in to this hotel. This hotel does not live up to the standards normally associated with Holiday Inn. This location has unfriendly, uncaring and rude reception staff. Has dirty carpet all over. Squeaking elevators. Artificial flowers decorate the lobby and they are all dirty.”

  • Convenience to Cape Liberty prior to cruise.
  • Staff was snotty and unhelpful to us as well as others.

“Certainly a good value for the rate we got on Priceline. Don't expect anyone to help you with luggage or even find a luggage cart - you're on your own. Rooms are clean and restaurants convenient for breakfast, etc.”

  • Not happy about the fact that guests have to pay for parking.

“The hotel was OK. But I think that guests have to pay for parking is unfair. One of the main reasons that I picked up this hotel was due to the fact that on it's website, it stated to have parking without disclosing the $15 per day parking fee. This is very misleading and has made me to decide that not to stay in this hotel for this very reason for my next trip to Newark. The best the hotel can do is either wave the parking fee for its guests or make a full disclosure on its website.”

  • The in house deli.
  • Having to pay $15.00 a day for parking at a facility in which you are paying to stay.

“The hotel is a great place to book housing, however, having to pay for parking is a bit much.”

  • deli counter open 24hrs..good food @ both counter & Teddy's
  • tub dirty no kleenex or toiletries

“Some front desk staff friendly and helpful others not. Waiters in Teddys were great. Hotel could use some updating but overall it was adequate for the price. Not hotels fault but not too happy with having to get out of our room at 1:00AM because someone stuck in the elevator. No staff outside assisting or informing guests...or handicap guest”

  • Hotel has a class and more spacious.
  • Saw cockroach in the rest room. Parking is expensive.

“The hotel was neat and spacious but the locality was little spooky and not much place to roam around. There were uninvited guest in the rest room (cockroach).”

  • The hotel got express check out system. Clean room.
  • There were 2 guys at the front desk that does not smile and sometimes no courtesy to visitors.

“When it comes to cleanliness and arrangement of the room, perfect. Courtesy of the 2 guys in the front desk, the worst I have seen. Parking fee should be reduced to 50%. Breakfast buffet is the best. If time permit, I will return and stay again in this hotel. Price is very good especially using price line.com.”

  • Shuttle to/from airport.
  • Needed better up keeping, online info was misleading.

“When we got on Priceline and this hotel came up as a 3-star, we looked it up online and thought that it seemed very nice. Upon arriving, we realize that many of the photos online must have been many years old, as the hotel was in need of plenty of up keeping repairs. Our room's carpet was ripping and in one spot we had about a 2 foot by 2 inch tear in the carpet. The lobby was alright, but areas less traveled in the hotel (hallways, exercise room, etc) were less desirable to the eye. I would certainly not have rated the hotel as 3-stars, even 2 would have been generous in my opinion.”

  • Price Line rate was very good compared to NYC hotels. Sheets were clean.
  • Hotel not up to 3 star for cleanliness or helpful staff.

“The only thing that could be described as romantic about this room is that someone had scrawled "I love you" on the window with some sticky substance and housekeeping has never cleaned it off. The entry light into the room did not work, leaving the guest to stumble upon entry until and alternate light switch could be located. While the room has a 4-cup coffee maker, no coffee-suitable cups have been provided for the entire stay. The price was better than expected through Price Line. We won't be staying here again. Clearly this hotel is not a 3 star.”

  • Everything you need around the clock.

“I arrived at 1 am. All of the conveniences were open. I checked out at 5 am. Could get anything I needed at this time.”

  • Environment, lobby.
  • Bathroom, air conditioner (heater), no fridge.

“Its a good hotel, but the bathroom was a mess. No drainage in the bath tube, water remained for several hours. It was good for a one night stay, but the bath room messed up my experience.”

“I would stay again if
I needed to. I have stayed in the area before at one of the other hotels. We were amazed at the view of the prison outside our windows. We have stayed many places before and never experienced nothing like that.”

  • This hotel is very close to the Newark airport with free transportation.
  • The room did not look clean, uncomfortable beds and nothing around the hotel.

“This hotel is convenient for a short layover in Newark but nothing else. There is nothing around to do or eat besides the restaurant hotel. There was a bug in my sink and the room was very old. Hard beds and uncomfortable pillows.”

  • There is a parking fee of $15.00 a day for hotel guests.

“The hotel staff was extremely accommodating to my needs from the crib that I asked for to the roll away bed that I had to use when my child refused to sleep in the crib. One would think that having to pay $15.00 a day for parking that the parking attendants would have been friendlier but that was not the case. The attendants seemed more bothered that I asked questions and annoyed when they took my money.

  • The room was lovely and comfortable.

“I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It almost felt like home. It's not too big and not too small. The surrounding is warm and friendly. After a day in New York City I was looking forward to coming back to the hotel. The room was just great!”
