• The free service to and from the airport.
• If I didn’t understand something and I asked again the guy at the front desk got mad at me. Also I felt unsafe.

“This hotel really scared me. I didn’t expect what I saw. They didn’t write down my car information. The doors were creepy for the fact that when I was drying my hair someone had slipped a piece of paper advertising a restaurant between the cracks of the door and I caught this midway as it floated to the ground. It scared me to death because I didn’t know if someone had just opened the door or was in my room or what went on. I stayed in the back so it was very scary walking back there at night. I did not feel safe. However I will give them that it was a nice feature to have the free service to and from airport every 30 minutes.”

• Location.
• It was in a very industrial area, near the Newark, NJ airport.

“The facility was tired. It showed it's age. The price was the only reason we stayed there. It was a place to sleep before going into NYC the next day.”

• It was clean.
• It was very close to an area that didn't seem too safe.

“It was okay, not too close to the underground train station but very close to the airport. Perkins was near by which is great, the rest of the area didn't seem so safe.”

• The room size.

“The beds were comfortable. However, the room was small and it smelled. No refrigerator I had no cable TV, only regular television. I called the front desk and was told that someone was coming to check the cable. No one ever came to my room.”

• Staff gave us another room after dissatisfied with first.
• At night, seemed very unsafe; poor security; rooms were broken into; did not give promised wakeup call.

“This is not a hotel I would recommend to anyone. Econolodges in general are decent but this one was definitely not worth it. It was very unsafe & unsanitary. The room appliances were stolen from other hotels & the first room I was given a key for was broken into. Spend the extra $ and feel safe in another hotel in the area!”

• The nice king size bed.
• The water did not stay hot long when your taking a shower.

• Absolutely nothing.
• Reception area smelt bad, room was dark and smelt awful. If you sat on the toilet your knees hit the door. Room temperature, hotter than outside.

“Terrible. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Didn't even stay more than an hour. Awful.”

• The rooms are very old and needs serious repairs.

“Very close to airport but terrible accommodation. Holes in the wall, mildew in the bathroom, dusty carpet floor, very out of date and a bad neighborhood.”

• Front desk staff cordial and helpful.
• Decor of rooms seemed outdated.

“The hotel met the needs for my stay. The staff was cordial and friendly. I felt the rooms and bathrooms could definitely be updated. Overall a good and pleasant stay.”

• I liked the location it was close to just about everything.
• I did not like the cable reception it wasn't clear on the cable channel etc HBO.

“I would have to say for the price it was great the area was a nice one; the staff was helpful. The room was very clean and nicely decorated I enjoyed myself.”

• Excellent location, free 24x7 pickup/drop from/to Newark Airport, free WiFi.
• If you get the 1st floor room, you will need to haul your heavy luggage all the way up the stairs - Painful.

“Excellent Location - Just minutes from the Newark Airport. Free 24x7 pickup/drop from/to Newark Airport - Just tip the van guys who are pretty friendly as well. Free WiFi as well. If you have an evening/night flight, just checkout early morning and keep your luggage in the office so that you can travel for the day (visit NY!) Only the bed was a little dusty and smelly and room was a little old. The bathroom was spic and spec though.”

• Immaculately clean, helpful, courteous staff, convenient location.
• Outside the rooms, parking lot, etc. feels unsafe at night.

“Staff was very friendly and eager to help us with anything, free shuttle to the airport was very convenient. Do not be deceived by motel's exterior appearance-sure it's older and so is the inside but it was immaculately clean. Overall a great value for the money, I will definitely return next time I visit NYC or New Jersey.”

• The staff were friendly and cooperative. Inexpensive.
• Hole in the wall behind a picture frame, dirty, creepy.

“The hotel was really dirty looking and just not what we expected at all from what the picture looked like online. We had two rooms and one of them had a hole in the wall the other had a brown smear on the wall of the bathroom One of the rooms' telephones did not work. The water in the shower was intermittently hot and cold and never stayed the same temperature while you took the shower. The water pressure was very weak.”

• It appeared to be dirty, and the bedding was awful. It was very loud outside.

“I don't recommend this hotel if you are about to travel early the next day. I actually don't recommend it to anyone. I wouldn't consider myself a picky person either.”
