• It had a bed.
• Dirty, smelly, and walls patched.

“In its day, I'm sure that this hotel was a gem. Its days are long passed. I first noticed no ramp for the handicapped. There was no elevator. The walls in the rooms had bare plaster exposed, the curtains looked like a 4 year old hung them, and the furniture was scratched and old. The TV remote had the batteries tapped into it. The only thing I would touch out of their continental breakfast was the coffee. There was cereal in bins, but who knew how long it was there? The morning employee was sleeping on a couch in the lobby, and did nothing but lie there. Definitely its not a place to go. It was dilapidated and in disrepair. The only redeeming value was the price. So if you're looking for a place to merely sleep (albeit with one eye open) this is the place for you. If you are looking for a comfortable, clean hotel, look elsewhere. This place will not be in business long.”

• The staff was friendly and accommodating.
• The "non-smoking" room reeked of smoke, and the continental breakfast consisted of 2 types of cereal, milk and juice.

“The accommodations were clean but very shabby. The range of room types was interesting, from standard hotel rooms to larger rooms with kitchenettes: stovetop, fridge, cabinets and microwave. But, the halls were frigidly cold, the rooms reeked of smoke, even though the staff tried to move us to a more acceptable "non-smoking" room, and the "continental breakfast", which we deliberately chose, was not satisfactory.”
