  • The lobby area pleasant and inviting.
  • Access to parking garage and exits from garage to main streets tricky, no left turn out of garage.

  • Bathroom bad shape, Furniture old and scratched, Fixtures mounted cockaded.

“At best this is a 2 Star. Large Water spot on ceiling. Furniture old and scratched. Extra bed pillows and blanket remained in corner after first night. No writing material or pen. Ceiling light fixtures not mounted fulush to ceiling. Water sprinkler cover hanging over sprinkler nozzle. Bathroom wallpaper separating and patched. Bathtub sealer separated. Tile grouted missing or cracked. Tile about to fall off near bathtub. Bathroom ceiling light broke. Two shelve refrigerator just placed on floor. You had to get on knees to utilize. No cushion under carpet.”

  • It needs to be cleaner rooms and public spaces.
  • Convinced.

“When it was renovated it was beautiful but now the bloom is off the rose. It never fails but the cleaning staff does not do a good job. Also the plumbing needs attention water does not go down in the tub and the toilet does not flush well. When they renovate they never change the plumbing. It makes a stay of longer than one night so annoying. The staff at the front desk are just a little too crisp to the point of being unfriendly.”

  • Large room, very comfortable bed, high quality furnishings.
  • Room not dark enough at night, restaurant expensive.

“This is a very good business hotel located in Downtown Morristown, convenient to the nearby universities and a few very good places to eat. The surrounding streets are rather complicated at first, so it is hard to get around.”

  • Location at Downtown area.
  • Upon leaving, I ordered a taxi but hotel booked me a town car and I paid excessive amount to airport.

“I enjoyed the stay, the hospitality up until the last moment. The hotel does not have shuttle to airport, so I asked for a taxi. I paid $80 for town car ride to the airport when a taxi would have cost me $50.”

  • Staff member got me glass of milk from hotel kitchen after hours.
  • Hotel was noisy from air handling systems, restaurant refrigeration unit, water pipes.

“This hotel is old with old plumbing, noisy air handling systems, ice machines, equipment which kept me awake the first night. I changed rooms for the second night early in the morning when I was able to get answer at front desk. Have too few staff at front desk therefore, unable to cope with registrants, those checking out, guests requests, concierge services, etc. As result no one gets good customer service. The place was decorated for modern look but not for comfort from bed linens to monstrosity of clock that needed a sheet of instructions with diagrams to understand. They tried to mimick modern comfort look in bedding but ended up with mattress pads that shifted in the night and didn't allow for varying needs in warmth. Ugh, I felt this hotel akin to old motel 6 with veneer of cheap redecorations. Seats in dining room were cheap and uncomfortable didn't fit anyone's body contour and added pillow was dirt and dust collector which didn't add comfort but unsanitary in public eating establishment.”

“If you're into Thai food, go to Origin (duck) or Sirin (scallop). Both are excellent restaurant and very good service.”

  • Mold in the bathtub area.

“Beautiful lobby and bedroom area. Was very disappointed in the amount of mold in the bathtub area. Broken tiles re-glued with mold in between not what I would expect.”

  • The lobby was absolutely gorgeous.
  • The bathrooms weren't super clean, though in no way dirty.

“I loved this hotel. The rooms were spacious, the lobby/bar was beautiful (I loved the twin glass chandeliers at the entrance!), parking was free and under the hotel (so we stayed dry in a downpour), and the staff was incredibly friendly. Not to mention the bed. I didn't want to get up! It was quiet, warm, and just what we wanted and I loved the iPod at home radio/alarm.”

  • The restaurants were great.
  • The staff was just too in your face.

“Very nice hotel - nothing extraordinary, but all of the amenities and quality you would expect. The staff tried very hard to be helpful, but having them swarm around whenever you entered was annoying.”

  • Room was smoky (requested nonsmoking) and no housekeeping.
