  • Lobby was nice
  • The room was awful

“The Westin Princeton Forrestal is an old hotel. The staff told me that it used to be a Hyatt in the 1980's. The location is very nice off of Route 1 in Forrestal village. The main lobby is nicely refurbished. The room that I had was quite old. The carpet was stained. The shower did not work properly. The flat screen T.V. did not work properly. The staff was pleasant. Overall, I was quite disappointed with my 2 night stay in this particular hotel. I do not want to stay at this Westin again.”

  • Breakfast offered was superb.

“Nice hotel for family traveling for leisure. I would definitely recommend it to anyone going to princeton NJ (or near by). I lived there and drove to Newark and New York daily. Cheaper.”

  • It was a lovely room, and the beds were really comfortable.
  • The shower water might have been just a little hotter, but not much.

“They are working on the hotel, so the lobby space is pretty cramped at the moment. However, that is not really of importance. It is a very nice hotel, and was just perfect for our weekend visiting our daughter (who was in New York, and who came to Princeton to see us and visit her old high school). Oh, the cable on the TV didn't work very well, but that was another very minor point for us. All in all, we had an excellent experience.”

  • Location to airport 1 mile away.
  • Fitness room was not great, no treadmill and it was freezing in there.

“Clean rooms, great service, close to airport, next to gas stations, banks and food and perfect for business traveler.”

  • Comfortable bed, coffee in room.
  • Poor towels, no toiletries, no coffee in lobby, poor signage - couldn't find it at first.

“Definitely under remodel for a reason. Halls and public areas were not up-scale. They should have had a concierge and welcome table in lobby with coffee and milk. Nice bar tender and very pleasant desk staff. The rooms were larger than the Hyatt where we usually stay and the beds were very comfortable, but it is further down the road from Princeton. Bring your own toiletries here, they don't provide much.”

  • Moldy interior and exterior. Fire alarm went off.

“I was disappointed with the hotel. The floors seemed wet, our clothes were actaully damp when we got home. The fire alarm went off and we had to wait outside in the rain for the 5 fire trucks to take a look. Then we asked for simple cups from the bartender to have the lemon water offered in the lobby and she took 20 minutes to find them.”

  • The bed was nice.
  • Pool area was unclean, outside pool closed while lithe temp was 90+. Hot tub was closed but the local inspector and was green.

“This was at best a 2-2.5 star facility. The building is under construction and is old and outdated. No snacks were out in the afternoon and no paper in the morning. The majority of the pool facilities were closed, the hot tub by the county inspector. I am not sure when this was a 4 star hotel but it is currently well below that mark.”

“Construction of hotel underway. Old and not a 4 star hotel. Close to Princeton. Nice bedding.”

  • Westin bedding, showerhead. customer service, lobby beverages.
  • Pool area was not well maintained (pool was not skimmed). Hallways carpets were quite dirty.

“Good for business travel and room was what you would expect for a Westin. However, I was surprised for price that TV was such poor quality and the pool areas were not well maintained.”

  • The staff.
  • Lot under construction.

“The Westin is currently undergoing some changes. They are taking out the Sushi bar, which was excellent, and replacing it with something rather uninspiring. While the construction is being kept out-of-the-way it is still happening. There are excellent places to eat within short walking distance, and many more within a short drive. The rooms are clean, if not a bit Spartan for a four-star. Internet access is, of course (for a four star) and additional cost (2 and 3 stars generally do not charge extra for this service in my opinion). On the bright side, the staff at this hotel is absolutely top-notch. They are fast, efficient, friendly, and completely customer focused. I wish the airline employees I traveled with to get to the Westin at Forestall Village could experience the level of customer focus by the staff there and learn how it's supposed to be done!”

  • Close location to Princeton.
  • Slow service.

“Great location, close to Princeton, restaurants and businesses. Hotel is definitely not a 4 star - more of a 2.5 to 3 star hotel. Staff was over extended and the hotel's cleanliness was not up to standards.”

  • We did not like it at all.
  • Whatever stores there are were horrible, but most were empty buildings.

“Our room was in a corner with a view of a building and a big tree.”

“Comfortable, clean and convenient, the Princeton Westin made my stay there a pleasure. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The decor and atmosphere were soothing and pleasing.”

  • I like the bed, very solid.
  • The carpet floor in the hall way was dirty.

“The hotel staffs was not friendly. The hotel looks old and due to major upgrade. The carpet in the corridor and inside the room are very old. Not a four star hotel that I know.”

  • Great price & nice location.
  • More accommodating to the business travelers.

“Overall a nice place to stay, a bit disappointed that the hot tub was out of order as well as the ice machines on the floor we stayed & the floor below. Wish there was a fridge in the room, since the last Westin hotel I stayed in had a fridge in the room.”

  • Convenient to restaurants, easy to walk around town, pool, fitness room.
  • Shows wear in carpet in hallway, tiles in bathroom, carpet and furniture in room.

“This hotel was convenient to where I did business and convenient to nice restaurants. The area was easy to walk around. It does contain a restaurant, pool and fitness center but for a four star hotel it is showing a lot of wear in the carpet and furniture.”

  • I really like the whole atmosphere of the hotel.
  • They could definitely have more maps and area information available. Information about taking the train into NYC would be helpful as well.

“I consider myself a very picky person so I am always keenly aware of my surroundings when staying at a hotel. With that said, the first thing I noticed about this hotel was the White Tea scent that filled the air. It was not an over powering smell but it made me feel more at home. My husband and I were warmly greeted at the door. Although all of the front desk attendants were busy assisting other customers at check-in, they were quick to let us know that someone would be with us shortly. The room was very clean and comfortable. I did not like the view of the roof but the double headed shower made up for that. We ordered from the late night menu and we were pleasantly surprised that the food arrived within 20 minutes. The food was a little pricy for what we ordered but I guess that is the price one pays for convenience. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and we will definitely stay again.”
