“The room itself was nice. The problem we had was the air-conditioning unit, every time it came on or shut off it rattled and sounded like someone was rattling our door. The refrigerator was also loud and sounded like an alarm clock going off. We really did not get much sleep, not to mention the two false fire alarms at 3 a.m. and again at 4:15 a.m.”

“I just wanted to recommend this hotel to any family or couple who is about to take a vacation in Ocean City and is looking for professional, compassionate and ready to lend a hand employees that will offer you a lovely clean room, with lots of extras! I had stayed at Paradise Plaza a couple of years ago and loved it, so when my family decided to take another vacation to OC we called the Paradise Plaza. I spoke with some of the most proficient and caring agents in OC. I was told that they are almost booked but he would connect me with the manager to see what they could do, however at that time JR was not around but the assistant answered the called and was able to give a room for my family and another room for our friends coming at the same time. When we arrived, there was a very pleasant man at the front desk. He made sure we had our keys and everything we needed, including a smile! We went into our beautiful and clean room and ran to open the balcony doors to see an incredible view of the ocean. There was a wonderful breeze that came in and all of us just relaxed on the balcony! On the second day we had a little problem and called down to the front desk to speak! She was so helpful and concern that we had a problem that she contacted the manger. After a few short minutes manager, the marvelous manager called me back and took care of the problem in a shocking matter of time! How impressed was I !That evening our family went out on the Boardwalk and when we returned to our room we found a little thank you card and a surprise gift from manager apologizing for any inconvenience that they may have caused us! WOW! I didn't know what to say. That is what I call service! Not only was the problem fixed immediately but the manager went over and beyond to thank me for being his customer! So, I am highly recommending Paradise Plaza for a fabulous stay, fantastic service, awesome memories and a terrific location! Yes, I will be going back.”

“Excited to be on vacation and celebrating our 4 year wedding anniversary, we arrived at what we expected to be a boutique hotel in beautiful Ocean City, MD. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the most unfriendly of folks at the lobby desk. After check in we started to our room. The elevators were horribly slow. Exiting the elevator we were slapped in the face by an odor that appeared to be that of roach spray and air freshener. Entering the room we were again slapped by a new odor. This odor is difficult to describe. My wife says burnt chocolate, but I think decaying flesh. Looking through the room I noticed what appeared to be mold spores growing on the walls, a half inch thick layer of dust on the cabinets and a large brown stain down the side of the bed. Fortunately, we brought our own bath towels as the ones offered were dingy and had stains all over them. The bath robes offered were dingy and tattered. The toilet constantly ran and the seat was falling off. There was a loud constant noise like that of a helicopter at take off and the AC unit was terribly noisy. The mini fridge smelled of some sort of fragrance. I put 12 sodas in there and when I went to drink one it was like I was having a can of perfume. There was a nice ocean front view once you got past the large pink candy kitchen sign directly in the center of the balcony. The balcony has a floor drain in it that had no cover and was clogged with cigarette butts. The butts were also thrown about the balcony floor and the chairs out there were filthy. The sliding glass door to the balcony did not have a lock and since the balconies are all connected anyone could have came right in. Exiting the hotel to the boardwalk proved to be quite difficult at times, as you had to climb a small set of stairs to a narrow hallway that led to a door only then to have to cut through the Dairy Queen and finally you're on the boardwalk. This was especially difficult when going out to the beach with the beach chairs, cooler, umbrella, towels and blankets! Anyway, there is much more, but there is a 4000 character limit! I would not recommend this place to anyone!”

“This place is the worst place I've ever been to. We were down there for my cousins wedding and we booked us to be all on the same floor. Each of us were a 2 floors apart. Also, when we asked for more keys to our rooms, the staff acted as though we wants a whole nether FLOOR put on. They were rude and very inconsiderate. Also this place is not safe. When we were down there someone tried to brake into rooms. Now the pool, the pool is 3 feet, 4 feet, 3 feet, also some little boy was following my youngest son and splashing water on him, we asked him to stop but apparently he was there alone. I will NEVER stay here again. P.S. The rooms I must say were nice but the TV didn't work and the maid service was terrible!”

“The hotel was very nice but it seems that the workers have no experience and donot know what to do to make a customer happy with my situation. Room was not ready it was still with trash. The workers took their sweet time to find me another room.”

“The Hotel staff from the desk to the maid service was very helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location is great right on the boardwalk right in the middle of everything. Just perfect.”

“Hotel was clean, great location and staff was very helpful. The tile floors in room need some placement rugs at entrance, in between the beds and in front of balcony door. Too much noise in room from a/c or little frigate. Not enough parking spaces for guests.”

“Liked the friendly atmosphere of this hotel and it had a great location. The cleanliness of the room could be much better and the presence of roaches in the bathroom was a big surprise. Exterminator NEEDED!!! The doors to the balcony were full of smears & handprints, having not been cleaned. Liked having the terry bathrobes; nice cosmetics, and bottled water daily.”

“The wording of the room ocean view was a little deceiving, thought we were getting the front view, but apparently its not true, Its either ocean front view or ocean view (which is Side view) of the ocean. Asked manager if we could switch room, he was rude and we were unable to switch room. The Sliding glass door to the "ocean View" needed some repairs looks as if someone tried to break into the room before, it didn't have a lock. But other then that it was a pleasant stay.”

“Well for one thing I felt like we stayed at a cheesy motel....the bath tub was molded around the edges, the sliding doors were rusty and broken. The refrig wouldn't stay shut half the time because the coving was hanging off every time we tried to shut it" It wasn't what I expected. I stayed on the second floor. Maybe the higher floors might look better? Anyway I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone I know.”

“One word, DISGUSTING. Upon our arrival, we come to find out that we have to park across the street because there is no parking spaces left. Then, we had to carry our luggage in because they didn't have any carts available. We paid top dollar because we wanted their jacuzzi room. The jacuzzi had patch work done to it which was evident by a huge plaster job smack dab in the middle of the tub. The rooms were small and on our last night stay, the bed smelled like beer which means that they either didn't wash the sheets or that they simple couldn't get the smell out, which in either case, it was DISGUSTIN
