“The hotel is quaint and walking distance to many restaurants and night clubs. The train is easily accessible to travel in and around the city.”

“Great location for travelers wanting only a place to sleep. Very central location which is why I choose this hotel. Much needed upgrading is said to be planned.”

“From check -in which was delayed by 1 and half hours to peeling paint in hallways and ceilings in rooms to running toilets as well as no toilet paper. This stay was not a welcome vacation. I should have just stayed at the flea motel and paid less.”

“Maybe this was once a reputable establishment, but NO MORE. Incredibly seedy-- peeling paint, exposed rotting wood trim, broken glass, stained carpets, malfunctioning and/or disabled smoke alarms, and a unreachable "manager." The place is like a squat you have to pay for. I finally had to admit I didnt want to take my shoes off in this room, much less get into the bed. We could no longer find the manager, so we gathered our things, dropped the key through the drop slot in the office door, and left the place for another hotel down the block. The attendant at this hotel told us they often get "refugees" from the Society Hill, and that they've heard it rents by the hour. I've stayed in funky places all over the world, but this was by far the worst place I've ever been charged money for.”

“The hotel is very quaint, However, it does need some remodeling. The rooms can be absolutely breathtaking if they took the time to restore/repair some minor things (cracks in walls, tiles in tub, new carpeting or just refinish underlying hardwood floors. There are only 12-13 rooms-- if they focused on one a month a year from now they can have their act together.”

“We had a great trip. The location of the hotel and the quality of the restaurant are really top notch at very good prices. Rooms are small because of the age of the hotel; modern updating and repair would take this hotel to the next level.” Amenities at Society Hill Hotel, Philadelphia
