“We had to ask not once, but twice for more toilet paper. Our room was directly across from the front desk, so anything that went on at the desk came right through the paper thin walls into the room and woke us up. I got scowled at by more than one employee. We came in at night with only one bed made (for no noticeable reason).”

“This hotel is located conveniently opposite the convention center a few blocks from everything that you needed for a first time visit. The complimentary breakfast was limited, but satisfying.”

“If you are looking for a clean comfortable bed with few amenities I would recommend the Travelodge in Philly. It is really all about basics: clean room, clean bed, bagels/muffins/raisin bran/toast for breakfast with Folgers coffee and Lipton tea. If you do not plan on spending much time in your room and don't need lavish settings it is worth the price. Great location: short walking distance to city hall, Franklin institute, art museum, and independence hall. Not a bad walk to south street.”

“This was one of the worst hotels I had ever stayed in. There is one ice machine and one vending machine in the whole building, located in the basement. The room was like a shoe box and very uncomfortable. The fact that it had only one window that looked out into the hallway left much to be desired. The hotel has no parking facility of its own, and the public lot you have to park in was horrible. It would have been worth the extra money to stay at another hotel than to save a few dollars. Beware.”

“For a quick one or two day visit this hotel is fine. Very short walks to pen square and Chinatown. It is directly next door to a homeless shelter. Dodging pan-handlers is ok for a day or two. After that, it's depressing. If Iżm going to stay longer Iżll go elsewhere.”

“We arrived at the hotel, and were given a room 6 feet from the front desk. Were awaken at 5 am by the masses of people checking out in the lobby, then construction started on the room that shared a wall with mine around 6 am. When I complained to the staff, they ignored me completely. Worst hotel stay I have ever had.”

“Hotel is in great need of a renovation, cig burns, stains on carpets, dirty air vents in room, saggy mattresses. Definitely not worth 122.00 that it cost.”

“The hotel while centrally located gives the appearance of a motel with its grungy appearance and lack of amenities i.e. temp control in the rooms.”

“The hotel was centrally located and within a price range that I could afford, but it was just small and the room and bathroom was very small and it would not work for a business traveler. Other than that it was fine and I enjoyed my stay very much.”

“I liked this hotel. For me, friendly and helpful staff as well as a clean and quiet room in a good location are more important than fancy amenities that I wouldn't need or use. It was a well run hotel and very accommodating. I would definitely stay there again.”

“I paid $100 per night and for this price, so I was disappointed with the seamy, shabby environment of homeless sprawled close by. The room were extremely tiny, and the carpet worn. The complimentary breakfast was OK, and the staff was very helpful.”
